| That is absolutely embarrassing. The club should really put reigns on him to protect the reputation and brand. While he is undoubtedly a brilliant leader of the club, having the new stadium with no debt and maintaining a level of success, he is at risk of causing serious damage to the public image of that brand he has helped to create.
Whoever proof read that, and signed it off should also consider themselves

Just a point but Saints are in debt for the stadium. It may not officially be for that but according to the accounts in 2017 they owed £13m to “related parties” and a further £7m to other creditors.
I’m not saying that’s a particularly bad thing or anything they e got a cracking stadium from it but they do owe money because of it.
My thought as well was that was no-one checking this stuff before it was published? Where’s the media officer initially and then surely the other board members, commercial/marketing directors etc would be involved with something like that.

| As a rugby fan through and through and having called referees all my life as we all do this is an absolute disgrace. Macmanus is a bitter and twisted man. In fairness he’s done Warrington a huge favour because if you meet saints in the playoffs which undoubtedly you will there’s only one winner now!! I can’t wait to see Wolfie walking round the vape dome with his sack of sour grapes!!

Yep! Each time I drive through it, the theme music to ‘The League Of Gentlemen’ enters my head. It IS the real Royston Vasey...

| Can someone explain to me, how a referee meeting the representatives of the team of a death-threatening supporter means that said team becomes the referees’ favourite?
Surely he’d lean towards their non death-threatening opponents if any kind of bias WAS floating around the back of his head?
Twisted Saints logic once more. Spare me, and throw the book at these vile sore losers.

| Warrington vs Saints has only had Hicks referee twice, and twice Warrington have won.
Just to wind the Saints fans and their conspiracy up more
The matches were;
Oct 4th 2018 Warrington 18 - 13 St Helens
Aug 24th 2019 Warrington 18 - 4 St Helens
Both times it was 3 tries to 1 as well.
I don't know who is more nuts, Flat Earthers or Saints fans.

| But maybe McManus has achieved what he actually wanted, ensuring Hicks doesn’t ref any significant games they are involved in. Mind you they are complaining about Friday’s ref now, won’t be long before they run out of options.

They're really letting themselves down.'"
If we meet them in the Play-offs or GF, all Price needs to do is pin that piece by McmAnus on the wall in the changing rooms and leave it there for all to read. We won’t need a team talk!

Let me check I have understood. Are you suggesting Saints should go through the courts to get the result overturned?

| Blatant obstruction on Ratchford by Thompson for the Fages try.
Imagine the whining from McManus et al, if this try had been correctly disallowed.

The same move got chalked off by Childs Friday night in the dying minutes as Lomax went over and Holbrook was very eager to slate the referee again post game...

| Perhaps Hicks & Child were both confident with what they had seen with their own eyes to make both decisions without going upstairs.

Is he really a grown man or is he just a weird looking 4 year old? This must be what happens when people are encouraged to marry their sisters for generations........allegedly!

Holbrook picked Coote despite being underprepared and potentially not ready for the game. I hope Holbrook is being held to the same standard as the RFL given the blatantly appalling decision making displayed by Coote which may have ultimately cost St Helens the competition. Especially after replacing the man of the match in the latest league fixture that Saints won at a canter.
If he’s asking for accountability of selection, look closer to home.

A perfect analogy
It's now set in Thatto Heath (they still point, and say "fire, bad", there)
From the Jobseekers, Pauline could be played by Eammon. A nasty, vindictive person, with an obsession of Warrington, instead of pens. Pauline's dumb stooge Mickey, could by LMS, and Ross, the goody two shoes, could be Roby
The speccies could be thousands of Edwards and Tubbs, pointing, shouting "they're not from our town. Are you local?"
... and you've got that scene with Geoff, Mike and Brian trying to bury a body.... "Wolves did it"

| It would be interesting to get the referees' controller and saints supporting Steve Ganson's view on the Mcmanus comments.
Surely he would have been well aware of the meeting between Hicks, Warrington and the fan and no doubt would have welcomed it.
