| The Roberts interview on Wire Facebook was a bit of an eye opener. He is not your natural cocky, cheeky halfback. Nice lad but thoughtful and different. Definitely worth a view.

| I've heard he's quite lively in the dressing room/training - clearly he's not very comfortable giving interviews. As long as he doesn't mind giving one to Sky when he wins the Harry Sunderland I don't care how miserable he seems on camera.

| He’s just nearly decapitated Livett congratulating him on his try so let’s put the silly miserableness rumour to bed...

| The silly miserableness has got out of bed again.
Just not enough effort for me.
We could have got Sam for less.

| Must confess my patience is wearing thin.
The conditions and weather in the last few weeks have been beautiful, the pitches are perfect, he's been part of the squad for months and had time to gel with the team and he and his family have had time to settle.
Amongst a collectively abject second half collapse, his performance and lack of effort stood out. At the moment, in terms of creativity, desire, variation of skills and output Kevin Brown is streets ahead.

| He MUST be carrying an injury of some sort otherwise I'm baffled as to why he doesn't take the line on which is something he is good at. In the last couple of weeks there have been glaring opportunities for him to get through a gap and he clearly decided against it. Phil Clarke was right in that we are missing a running half back and it should be Roberts.

| He bought time while we were winning but he wasn't particularly inspiring.
Any stater on here know if he has collected a mom at any game, home games are the easiest? Or at the very least been one of the 4 heads selected by the secret expert on sky?

I can't even remember him being nominated as one of 4, let alone an mom. The concerning thing for me is that I can't see any area of his game that has improved since he's been here, most notably his running game which is non-existent and was probably the reason why we payed so much. Pattern's break in the second half showed more attacking enterprise than anything I've seen from Roberts all season.
The difference between Sandow and Roberts is Man City and Birmingham City.

| I assume this is Sandow pre-hamstring injury, because the collective wisdom was that he was coasting along for the rest of the season as well.
He looks permanently bewildered to me; far from being the conductor of our orchestra he looks more like Eric Morecambe attempting Grieg's piano concerto (google it kids) minus the wit, charm and likeability.

| I think all the Roberts hating is disguising our biggest problem .
The fact Atkins is neutralising our biggest attacking threat

Lol I think you know I was talking about Charnley. As much as im not a big Toby King fan he gave a better pass than Atkins.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Pompleroy on that right channel against Hull

| Charnley was more guilty than most of letting certain aaah prickly Wigan characters get under his skin, knock him of his game and take advantage yeaterday.
Given we will be facing the Lord Mayor of Scrotes, MrJake Connor, next week we all need to be fully focussed and answer any intimidation in the best way - with two points.

| Indeed. Brown and Charnley rose to the bait from the off. We need a right hard bugger in the front row/pack as well.

Well other than vs a jetlagged Wigan we haven't beaten the top 4 teams(assuming Hull beat KR).
I even think that defeat has blown all the team weaknesses clear open.
The bubbles burst.
I can only see a Dire vs Dull game next week.
Tbh we need Robert's to step up now. After Wigan, I can't see a win until Salford at home.

I have a dream, where the winner takes it all, that's, the name of the game!....however I'm feeling more Status Quo on the level.

| Roberts was the least of our worries in that game provided to lovely passes and that D ball for BMM to break the line was a joy to watch. He musn't be confident in his knee as any half who has provided a pass for a big fella like that to coast through the Defense would be right up on his shoulder for support.
We're currently seeing a half with great vision and his kicking game is also vey good. however at the minute he's an organizing player, not a flair player. As Brown is also an organizing player it makes our halves look bang average. A half back pairing needs a thinker and a runner, Sandow was able to look as good as he was because he had an organizer to compliment his individual flair (plus he was unbelievably good). Put a Sandow in that team alongside Roberts and we'd be laughing.

Roberts isn't playing poorly, he's a step above any half back we have had since Briers in my view - although Brown is obviously much, much improved on last season and possibly on a level with him. Thing is, he has that marquee tag, so he needs to be one of the best players in SL - he's a long way from that currently, BUT, if he can get his running game going, he'd be much improved as he would add that extra doubt in to the defenders mind. In my view he's either injured (in which case I just wish they would just say that), or being told by Price top play a certain way.
I wouldn't get too misty eyed over Sandow, he was excellent, almost unplayable for the opening 8 or 9 games in 2016 (he played 30 games in all I think) but before that, and after it, he was largely anonymous.
