| Well TS and his superstars dragged the Wire down to a whole new level of Shat in that game.
Where was the game plan?
Where was the aggression?
What have they been working on with Sandow?
What has happened to Joel?
What has happened to Westwood?
Ratchford words fail me here?
Evans, personally I just don't get the hype?
Atkins, marginal for me tonight, but usually utter tripe?
Harrison, jeeesus?
No Philbin or Wilde?
Do the players and TS have any respect for themselves and/or the fans/the club?
I wont do the Asiteasy and Wheeler as my blood pressure won't take it. They say there are no more signings for next season, that worries me greatly.
I thought Penny and Currie were good value as was Myler, Clark did a good stint, Sims was his usual aggressive running/tackling and Hill what can you say about him he carried the lot of them again.

| I'd say that the Cas game has now gone so onwards to the Wigan game, but to be perfectly honest, I can't. I'm so p****d off with the way this season has turned out, and no-one seems to have done a damn thing about it. "Oh, I know, let's put it down to a transitional season and focus on next year". How many damn transitional seasons are we going to have before someone realises we are s**t and does something about it? We're just happy trundling along, being "out enthused" every game. Is that the only excuse TS can come up with? Out enthused? Just come out and say that we are utter dog turd and changes need to be made.
The main thing I'm surprised about from last night is that Kevin Penny hasn't been made the scapegoat for the loss.

We have been on the slide for years... it was always going to come to breaking point sooner or later... I think were fairly close to that point now.

I don't think we're fairly close mate, I think we passed it a good while ago.

It came for me when we lost that 4th game on the spin in April at home to Cas.

| A few thoughts generally from last night;
I have great admiration for Hill and Sims (the latter has really grown on me during the season for his work ethic), I cannot fault their effort.
I think the time has now come to focus on getting more out of the players we already have. Clark, Monagahan, Atkins, Evans and Harrison all just need to provide more. I have seen them all play much better than they are at the moment, I don't believe they are over the hill, and it's up to Agar and Smith to get more from them.
Asotasi just has to go, he has been a disaster.
I am encouraged by Sandow, a 40/20 in his second game isn't shabby and I would rather he went for ambitious kicks than not. But not surprisingly it showed that the backline looked like they had not played much together and I hope that we can now just use the rest of the season to try out moves and for Sandow to bed in.

| I've read the comments on here, and they mainly concentrate on Thaler's ineptitude (he was, for both teams), and our players' all round 5h1teness. Fair enough.
I missed the first half (I had a note from Matron), and the video ref calls, etc, BUT, I firmly lay that defeat at Smith's door, due to his APPALLING tactics.
Whenever Cas "fluffed up" in their own 20, each set of six was a carbon copy.
Play one, Drive the ball up
Play two, pass towards Monaghan's wing, take the tackle
play three, pass the ball until we're facing the posts, take the tackle
play four, repeat play two, take the tackle
play five, pass until we're facing the posts, then pass back to Monaghan's wing (were all the traffic is) and get tackled
play six, kick
No variety, the same routine every set. DROSS, DROSS, DROSS. These will be his instructions.
Does he not realise that we have a left attacking side. Despite criticism from myself, I'm well aware that Atkins has strength 10m in front of the opposition line. Why did he hardly get to show this strength? I'm baffled.
As for shoving it to the right, all the time. WHAT FOR? Monaghan looks no more a RL player now, than the old bird on that Bake Off rubbish. Don't get me started on Wheeler. Penny must've been bored witless, in that second half.
Despite Sandow's input, we've regressed to where we were, circa Easter and mid June. A mid table club, who are just ambling through matches, without any real purpose.
I know we've all said that this season was going to be a struggle, but the standard of RL played throughout the season by ALL teams, has been way below what we've seen since Super League's inception. Even Leeds have "stunk the house out" at times (those two defeats v us). This season has been there for the taking for any team. (as Stevo would say) we've "put the cue on the rack", the week after the WCC game, and merely gone through the motions.
Smith MUST turn things around. He's undoing years of good work, before our eyes.
I'm peed off.

Well, I've just sat through a TOSH game, with very little quality rugby on show, and that was 1st against 3rd.
Like I said, this season was there for the taking. IF we had taken care of what was obvious to Ray Charles FOUR years ago, we'd've strolled this league.
What's that old phrase
....fail to prepare.........prepare to fail
