Your taking the word past far too literally. You told us not to go into the past (we thought you meant the 80/90 period) so we spoke about the more recent past, ie the super league era, when there was a salary cap, and the playing field was level, and all the rest of the cliches that go with it, but apparently you don't like that past either. So lets go to last year, or maybe the year before, if you will permit me.

2007 Season Final positions

Wigan finished 3rd
Wire didn't make the play-offs

Yes, Wigan probably are a bigger Club than us, big difference at the moment is that we own our ground, Wigan don't. We can guarantee playing at the HJ, they can't always guarantee playing at the JJB. What happens if DW really gets a strop on and says they can't play there at all. It'll be cap in hand to those little Clubs Wire and Widnes (or maybe even Leigh!), and asking, 'Please can we borrow your ground because we aren't allowed to play on ours?'
