Yes I have the same concern. For me we need an out and out attacking threat down our left edge. In 2024 we will have Ratchford able to cover half back, Thewlis full back, Wrench centre & wing. We don’t need utility value, we need a specialist centre.

Sad indeed, he's been a brilliant player for us. It will hurt to see him in a pound stretcher shirt next season.

We have known this was coming for ages, of course, and it feels worse at the moment because Clark is in a decent run of form. But to be honest, such good form has been in short supply over the past couple of years, largely due to injuries, and he always looks like a player who struggles to get through a game without picking up some sort of knock. Sad as it is to see him go, it might just prove better than hanging on to him for too long.

Been a good 'un for us. I can understand why we wouldn't offer a three year deal but still disappointed to see him go. He has played so well this year.

I can never understand why we haven't exploited 2 hookers on the pitch more often. It worked a treat with Higham & Monaghan in days of yore.

Roby is planning to retire at the end of this season and hence the reason that they have signed Clark, on a 3 year deal.

Generally a flop in his Wires career and part of the ineffectual, poor value for money Hill/Clark/Cooper Triad, but fair play in getting 3 years off Saints as he’s got his house to pay for.

Last I heard he can now hobble down to the TW from where he lives saving petrol money, and also has the quite new St Helens hospital round the corner to tend all his injuries.
