I can sit and watch pretty much most of it. I'm obviously looking forward to the track and field, but I'm especially excited for the basketball, being a big NBA fan 'n all.

Always liked the Olympics..Quite enjoy taking in sports that aren't shown much on tv.. Such as Diving,Basketball and Hockey... Oh and Jessica Ennis...

Can't wait for it to be over, it is just a Greek sports day that got out of hand! The final nail in the coffin for me was seeing Jennifer Saunders carry the match stick, yet Ste Prescott's nomination to be a torch bearer was declined. I want nothing to do with the materialistic charade.

Yes. I'm going the athletics two weeks tomorrow and can't wait. I applied for every athletics session in most price ranges in the initial ballot and got four pairs. I passed the others on to mates and kept the best pair for my dad and I. Once in a lifetime.

That American keeper for the Womens football team was a bit of all right, useless but i would.

I'll be watching as much as I can get away with, love it and the more you get to know about each sport/rules/background/history/competitors etc the more interesting and absorbing it gets (IMO)
These people train as hard, if not harder than any pro and in the UK where funding has basically been dropped regardless of it being held here, makes for a fair few interesting stories to say the least.
Obvious fave's - beach volleyball, Jessie Ennis, GB's chances in the combat stuff, Bolt and the rest of the Jamaican team plus some weird interest in dressage

Oh and the gymnastics is outstanding once you know how the scoring system works (it's absolutely not subjective as a previous post claims)

That'd be me. I know the scoring system has changed in recent years and maybe I should give watching it a go, but the old scoring systems put me off too much.

Yep, can't wait, taking the mrs next thursday for 3 days to watch tennis, athletics, handball and football.

People mya not be aware that sky channel 451 and onwards there are about 20 BBC Olympic sport channels, this will save you dicking about on the red button. I've spoke to a few that weren't aware, probably beacuse we go straight to 405 or 905 as soon as we get the sky remote.
