i agree, but i think that even if morley isn't going to churn out consistent performances at his top level like he's done over the past few years, he's still got one-off massive games in him
allow hill and carvell to take the lead roles but wheel adrian out to put the fear of god into the likes of crabtree and anyone wearing cherry and white hoops

| I am afraid to say we looked weaker when Morley came on. Shadow of his former legend self but the signs were there last year if we are being honest. Season too far. Carvell and Hill looked impressive. Blew them away first 20 mins then took foot of the gas and lost second half. Still a win is a win.
I was glad Briers took the DG and broke their spirits, showed we were not going to fall for the same mistake as last week.

| No diagrams are drawn on a league table. We got two points. End of.
I was a little disappointed when our chosen one "poo-pooed" Briers' drop goal.
We weren't on the top of our game at the time, Briers used his head. Well done, Lee. Any butterflies we (may have) had, went in an instant. Had Leeds scored again (if Briers hadn't dropped the goal), sphincters would have been twitching.

| Why the slating of Morley?
He's been out for god knows how many weeks and is getting himself back into the team. One of the best props super league has seen, if not rugby league in general and because he isn't destroying opposition front rows on his own he's all of a sudden an easy target to slate.
Get a grip.

What`s so funny about a clash of heads and a potential serious facial injury?
You were doing well with your previous post and I was about to agree with you.
Leeds were totally clueless and will continue to be whilst Sinfield thinks he is a stand off.
You played very well in the first half and I don`t for one minute think you eased off in the second half.
We decided to move the ball instead of playing one man rugby and watching your lot run through us at ease.
Well done on the win and bagging the 2 points.

| Brilliant opening 30 minutes, electric at times at back to our very best. Then Leeds started to compete (As they should. they're the Champions) to make it a decent arm wrestle. The drop goal, regardless of what TS thought, was the right play at that point in time although we were never in any danger of losing the game. Completely dominant performance in very poor conditions.

I don't think anyone is slating Morley. The observations were that our 'go forward' diminished when Carvell and Hill went off. In previous seasons that has happened when Moz left the field. To be fair, he is just returning from injury and I still expect him to play a huge part in our season.

| Quote ="Famous"Leeds were gash just like last week and Warrington blew them off the park in the first 20 mins. I was impressed with Warrington's line speed and defence in this spell and Leeds looked clueless. The game was won then and I would say a combination of the weather, Warrington easing off let Leeds come back a little when I didnt think warrington looked that great but the game was won anyway. Leeds really are poor though and I cant see McDermott lasting much longer, he looks a beaten man.'"
Agree with that last line. He looked desperate last night when Eddie was interviewing him after the match.

| In answer to the original question, it was an 8/10 performance for me. 10/10 for the first half hour, then free-wheeled from there on in.
After last week, we should really consider our low error count a positive response. The emphasis was on control of the possession and we absolutely achieved that early on, never let Leeds get a foothold. If there was a disappointment it was the second half kicking game, it was as poor in the second half as it was good in the first.
Even a team in as poor form as Leeds are will pose a threat on wet night with Rob Burrow in the team, and in the second half they improved their performance. We won't win every game inside the first half so we need to keep working at the things we did well last night so that we deliver for 80 minutes when we have to.
Top players for me were Briers, O'Brien, Riley in the backs, Waterhouse, Westwood, Hill and Carvell in the forwards.

| I was very pleased with the Wire's handling tonight & considering the poor conditions both teams should be praised for giving us a very entertaining match. The pitch looked very good as well.

IMO Morley is a shadow of his former self and needs to be released at the end of this year.
Carvell, Hill and even Cooper are easily ahead of Morley these days.
Thanks for the service Adrian but there is no room for sentiment in proffessional sport.

Adrians days of putting the fear of god into anyone have long gone.
When was the last time he put a big hit on anyone?
Most of his attempts in recent times have either been high or off target all together. Im afraid that he looks a little off the pace these days.
Wonder if James Graham fancues a return to SL next year?

Yup. Deano G being his usual stupid one eyed self. No doubt he'll see this and come out with one of his usual 'comedy gold' comments.
