| I would love to see the penalty stats for last night. I don't think any were harsh or undeserved. After about the 20 minute mark we started to look desperate and lost any composure that we had. Credit to Leeds as with burrow missing and peacock going off early doors I thought we stood a chance but they dug deep. Some things that we were doing last week just didn't stick and a lot of that was down to Leeds. king was surrounded by 3 Leeds shirts every time a kick came across and they made sure we were not going to score a sack load out wide through slick handling. Leeds played well.

| We lost because no one seem intrested we looked flat, unorganised and too many players didnt stand up and be counted. It was overall a poor team performance last nigth. You cant blame the ref for anything ok he made some bad calls but its down the team to win the game.As for Leeds fans cheering King had been injured then i would say some Wire fans are just as bad for cheering when Peacock went down.

Story so far is we are not as good as we think we are we over hype ourselves( well the fans do, not the club ) and cant beat our main contenders that's the down side
The up side is we have only lost 4 game and still IMO have not played to our potential yet in the league the season isn't won in May it's won at the grand final so judgement can't be made until then !
Compared to previous seasons we are amazing I think this time last year the stats were the other way around and only won 4 so I am happier than last year but still disappointed as I genuinely think we are better than we are playing !

| I'm mildly disappointed with the result but in reality it's a tough place to go, full stop. Monas would have made a difference but to what degree is hard to say, I'm still convinced we had enough to win there last night minus him but didn't play well enough, and also probably caught Leeds hot, if not at their best.
I'd say Smith would class last night as something along the lines of a 'flat performance', well, if we're flat and get beat 26-16 at the champions, things aren't so bad. When other teams are flat, they clobbered for 60. Our flat performances now would be more than enough for three quarters of SL, it's just those top teams - you have to find them on your day, when things fall right, so far they haven't, but I wouldn't lose the faith just yet.
We're punching with the heavyweights this year, and long may it continue, it's been too long, but we won't get everything our own way. After the euphoria of last week, perhaps the players took their eye of the ball, if only a tad, here's your reality check. If you're off it in SL, off it by 5% as a collective, you'll get beat.

For me, it was the same thing as the saints game, in that we got an injury or two and moved king to centre from the wing, which his kick returns were a huge part of what we were doing well in the games prior and turned up and just didn't do everything that we had previously cos the team was changed.
Same thing last night, too many changes to the actual side, atkins the back row, louis on the other side of teh field, it just looked awkward and forced, especially seeing riley, king(grix) and atkins all defending together, didn't look right at all.

Whilst I don't disagree with your comments in the round couldn't we argue that, indeed, we are not punching with the heavyweights based on the losses against Saints, Leeds and Wigan?

It means nothing beating the big three. It all boils down to the end of the season as Smith says.
Just like to point out that we lost to Wigan and Saints both on goal kicking. Leeds and Hull KR are the only teams to have outplayed us.

but when would you have scored your fifth? Leeds won by two clear scores. Your two trys in the last ten mins were consolation and mainly due that leeds were playinging with only 15 players through the whole second half. This was a big test of Warringtons title credentials and they came up well short.

| On the night:
*Leeds forwards > Wire forwards
*Too slow playing the ball (credit to Leeds)
*Too slow around the park (we aren't good enough against the best teams without our starting S/O and hooker)
* Some wrong decisions taken (Mathers a couple of times & others)
* Too many penalties given away.
* Overall 'Sloppy'

| Got to laugh at some of the comments on these pages, think people should start watching both teams instead of just Warrington.
1st Ben Thaler grew up a Wakey suporter, his mother is a season ticket holder there.
2.. thought he had a very fair game overall.
3..If riley had twice in the 1st 15 mins, put his head down and run straight and King had,nt been forced out when going over, things would have been different.
4...leeds after 20 mins pulled warrington into a down-the middle tussle, causing an effect on our expansive game. This is where we lost
5..irrespective of who is missing or injured has no effect on superleague games. Every player on that pitch was deemed good enough to play for either Leeds or Warrington.
6..Carl Ablett is a very under-rated player and imo was man of the math
7.. Will people now realise that Bridge is a half-back and not a centre.
8..Will Mathers please go to Widnes as soon as possible. Has anyone ever seen him pass a ball?
9.. The better team won on the night...End of story

Check the league table out.
Years gone by, we've been in & around Hull KR, Castleford, Wakefield, Bradford.
It's pretty clear right now that we're a level up from them, so yeah, we're punching with the heavyweights now. We haven't delivered any of them a knockout blow, we've not even dropped them to the canvas, but we're sparring at present, and looking good.
I'm sure Smith will have found things to take out of last night, 'notes to self'. Defeats at this stage of the season don't hurt you, not learning from them does. I see this as the key difference in us now. I'm yet to see a Smith side that doesn't respond to defeat, and I'm yet to see one make the same mistakes twice.
We were beaten by a quality side, in some form, at their patch, and gave them a decent game without being at our best. Lessons learnt, move on.

| Dissapointed after last night. We missed Myler and Monaghan so much last night and those that came in as replacements along with a number of other players just weren't up to the job against some strong defence.
But lets look at the positives - last year we would have collapsed after going 26-6 down but instead we fought back and got the ball through some hands and made the score respectable (if only we could have started doing that 20 minutes earlier). I think if the game had been 10 minutes longer we would have won as we had Leeds on the rack.
Despite missing key players and other players not really performing we didn't look out of our depth against the current world champions. I genuinly believe that we are a stronger side than Leeds. COYW.

I know you are only backing your own team mate but sorry, you aint a stronger side than Leeds. In fact although I was impressed with Warrington last night, I think we showed you how to play in these games. Mentally we had it over you.
Winning the GF 3 times on the trot against a quality team gives you that added edge. Not saying you are a bad team, just saying you have a lot to prove before saying you are stronger than us.
Guess we shall see if a few months time who is right

| Last night was a well needed bump back down to earth.
We lost that game due to ill discipline at the end of the day. We were constantly offside or threw the ball around too much, costing us possession. I think I agree with PADDERS (God help me) that we have over hyped ourselves as a set of fans and we are not as good as we think we are.
I'd take a top four place at the end of the season, but I'm no longer expecting us to make either final.

| I thought we were poor last night. Really poor. Lacked direction, stupid mistakes/penalties/offloads, yet we still only lost by ten points away at the champions. Briers wasn't at the races and we were severely lacking in organisation, with Monaghan out there as another go-to player I think we may have won that game. Hopefully we can get back into the swing of things next week against Huddersfield. Keep the faith.

Look mate I'm not trying to troll you and I like you always try to be optimistic in defeat but you were will beaten last night and the "we only lost by 10" is a smoke screen the game was gone, as ts said it was too little to late. it's about the performance not the result. you are a great team improving all the time but you have lost to the pies, saints and Leeds. no need for you lot to panic but would be a little concerned. I know you had a few out, but Leeds had 4 of there front line strike weapons out.
