The Roberts interview on Wire Facebook was a bit of an eye opener. He is not your natural cocky, cheeky halfback. Nice lad but thoughtful and different. Definitely worth a view.

The conditions and weather in the last few weeks have been beautiful, the pitches are perfect, he's been part of the squad for months and had time to gel with the team and he and his family have had time to settle.

Amongst a collectively abject second half collapse, his performance and lack of effort stood out. At the moment, in terms of creativity, desire, variation of skills and output Kevin Brown is streets ahead.

He MUST be carrying an injury of some sort otherwise I'm baffled as to why he doesn't take the line on which is something he is good at. In the last couple of weeks there have been glaring opportunities for him to get through a gap and he clearly decided against it. Phil Clarke was right in that we are missing a running half back and it should be Roberts.

I can't even remember him being nominated as one of 4, let alone an mom. The concerning thing for me is that I can't see any area of his game that has improved since he's been here, most notably his running game which is non-existent and was probably the reason why we payed so much. Pattern's break in the second half showed more attacking enterprise than anything I've seen from Roberts all season.
