At this rate you are going to be able to make a case for disallowing EVERY try Warrington concede this season.
Most biased RL fan i have seen for a long time.'"
No he isn't biased...He's just a plank who seems intent on making Warrington fans look very stupid....

| RM Parrot,
My OH watched it at home on the TV and in his opinion all three calls were correct.
Watching in the stadium I would have sworn that Monaghan's attempt was a try but I was wrong and the video referee was right.
Both teams played well but in the end Wigan were victorious, fairly and squarely.
Congratulations to them.

no problem with that - no doubt all Wigan fas are delighted - I would be! Sometimes some posters like Trent Barrett appear to lack a little class but thats probably down to intelligence (or lack of it). Looking forward to the rematch!

It's going no where. The result's academic now anyway.
Lock it and bin it.'"
I disagree. Most fans are united on their stance that they just saw an exciting and spectacular match with enough heart stopping moments to last a life time. The few that go down either the "We wuz robbed" route or the "Ha ha you lost" route are quite entertaining in their own barbaric way, and I'm quite enjoying seeing them quashed with efficiency from all fans.
The real winner tonight was Rugby League.

| Quote ="jonh"Gleeson ran a supporting line he does not have to run out of the way of the defender. He is entitled to hold his line to support the ball carrier.
The simple fact is Wire threw that game away, and Wigan won it with a few bits of individual brilliance. The stats say Wire should have won that game, the scoreboard says different and that is what counts.
Deal with it and move on, stop clutching at straws accept it and move on, you are making a bit of a fool of yourself.'"
Well said jonh.
I thought Warrington were quality tonight, some excellent pieces of play, superb defence, and a Briers and Monaghan at the top of their game and being the stand out 6 & 9 of the competition so far. Some fantastic solid play by Morley, and a very dangerous looking player in Ben Harrison (reminding me of Sam Burgess - you've got a damn good one there)
Wigan showed some poor discipline, lapses of concentration, poor kicking and ball retention in the first half, improved in these areas a bit in the second half, but it still needed a few individual bits of brilliance to get us back in the game and then in the lead. And even then we showed some squeeky bottoms, put ourselves back under pressure, particularly at 22-16 up not going for a drop goal when right in front of the posts and the clock getting lower and lower. I feel if you'd have been in the same field position and scoreline and had Briers still on the field you would have killed the game off at that point.
Having said all that, it was a truly brilliant match to watch played out by two teams full of fire and passion, who demonstrated significant improvements over last season. Going to be very hard for Super League XV to top that as a spectacle.
Even thought Silverwood had a good performance trying to let the game keep flowing, and correct calls by Bentham on each of the VR decisions.
It's a real shame there had to be a loser after that match, much respect to Warrington this year.

| I think the best direction this whole site could take is to create an 'Idiot's' forum additional to the many individual ones already on here.
All the idiots (and we all know who they are), could then be restricted to that particular forum, where they could squabble their hearts away and generally behave in the childish manner we are all used to....

Thanks mate, you demonstrated tonight what a quality side you are and just how dangerous you can be. Really thought you were going to run away with it at one stage. It's great to see Monaghan at his best, the guy is quality through and through, and as much as a lot of opposition fans don't like him (plenty of my own teams included) a performing Lee Briers is a joy to watch for any true RL fan, the guy is capable of things that few if any others in SL are.

| A great game of rugby league. A credit to both sides. A good atmosphere and we certainly were not robbed. It just goes to show how well matched the 2 teams are is that the result depended on a dropped ball inches from the line.
Why losing Lee " the Axe " Briers from our defensive line caused us to concede 3 tries in 15 minutes I havent got a clue.
Congratulations to Wigan ... a draw would have been a fair result but also credit to Monaghan ( or whoever made the brave decision) for going for the win instead of taking an attempt at the 2 points.
Great to see .. Shame it didnt come off

You do realise that every one thinks you're extremely immature ?
you ready for school on Monday?
Act like a grown up because you're doing irreplicable damage to our reputation and the integrity of this forum.
Plus I usually like to stick up for the victimised but in your case you need to learn to act more mature.

| dont think we were robbed we got 16-4 up at ht and cant defend for 40 mins is why we got beat . we had a opportunity to take the 2 and have the ball back in the last 2 minutes but we chose to be greedy and go for 4 and unfortunately it didnt pay off. i seen a few of the replays as i was there and close to the screen but i didnt see it all only 1 i think was wrong is when gleeson took out king but the rest i thought was ok..

HAHA. yes, of course. seeing as though king was pushing him back and gleeson ran into him deliberatley. Gleeson knows what he was trying to do. and suceeded. NO TRY.

I do not deny Gleeson did not know what he was doing I am sure he did, but in that situation he did not have the prerogative to get out of the way and nor should he.
Clearly a try, the scoreboard says so, the ref says so and every non bias fan with a grasp of the rules of the game would also agree.

I didn't say that. Good support play is not running and obstructing a defending player.
