You can smell the anxiety in the Saints fans posts, almost as if they are trying to persuade themselves that yesterday was a bad day at the office and nothing to do with how Wire played.

To add to that further, the only enigma in this whole scenario is how st helens didn't score 50 and us scoring at all. I totally agree with as108 in that you could tell saints were holding back for the full 80. If saints wanted to put on 50, they could have- it's just they chose not too- they are such a remarkable side and they felt sympathy for us.

Phew, its ok after all, Saints weren't terrible, it was the ref's fault (ala Redvee). They have never seen such a terrible refereeing display. Presumably it is worse than the semi final they were robbed of (because they know how to win BIG games). It is such a pleasure to have some light relief when stuck in a muggy office all day. Being a bad loser is bad enough, being a bad winner...!

No ones being arrogant, you just don’t like the opinion some of us have on the game. The general consensus from saints fans is that Warrington didn’t finish us off when they had the chance and paid the price for it. We’ve won 21 out of 23 games, of course we’re going to be excited.

100%, the penalty to take it to 0-8 was fair enough but to take 2 when 6-8 up is just negative and essentially an acknowledgement of their own poor attack and Saints excellent defence. At 6-8 a converted try might have been enough.

Me thinks some Saints fans are getting a bit twitchy that we very nearly beat them. Probably a bit of a surprise to many of them, as they ooze arrogance.

So everything Saints hated about Ryan Bailey has come to them full circle, with that Cockney wideboy Michael MacIntyre lookalike apeman running round our players celebrating the kick going over last night. Really really poor sportsmanship that, as has been said by many Saints fans over the years about that GF incident with Bailey and I recall James Graham refusing to shake some Leeds’ players’ hands after one game because they went over the top celebrating.

I don’t mind a bit of sledging during the game, wild celebrations with your own players and fans, a square up during he game, even dropping the elbow on someone in the tackle or a punch up (oh for a real punch up in the sport every now and again!)... but don’t run round in the other team’s faces celebrating. That’s the sign of a desperate attention seeking idiot. I hope he gets his cummupance!

The execution of the pass from dummy half to the lad taking the DG attempt has been evidently appalling in three recent games now, losing us points in all of them.
