Bridge, at talented as he may be, was completely uninterested on Friday night. Watching Warrington for 25+ years you see your fair share of average performances, and I can handle that. But such a blatant lack of effort is frustrating.

Sometimes it comes down to "will or skill" Can they do something but don't, or can they simply not do it. To me, Bridge is lacking the will.

It's possible he is not interested, I was not at the game, but I think the problem is simply down to fitness. I think his injury (and recovery) mean that he can play but not train. So if he plays, then he doesn't get any fitter as he is unable to improve his fitness levels during the week. I think you will find that now Wheeler and Myler are fit again, Bridge will be dropped for two to three weeks such that he can get some full training sessions in, and return to full fitness.

Anyway, that is my guess, and I think the same has also been true for Harrison - but we have had enough cover for him to allow him to regain his fitness.

Ratchford and Bridge have never been beaten as a hb pairing.
This time last year we couldn't buy a win.
Chance paired them together and our season was completely upturned.

That is for sure whether we would have won tonight or not with them we will never know.

while i admire your persistence in your theory, the reality is it ISNT the HB pairing of bridge and ratchford that is causing the issues here.

Bridge is either totally shot or he isnt trying... either way, he isnt a 6 in a million years.

Ratchford and Bridge were not the hb pairing until Catalan in May I think. It was the week before we got Leeds at home who were top of the league, unbeaten and nobody gave us a prayer.

Bridges first game at 6 came v Bradford away.

Wire got battered. Bridge was shat!

Then Ratchford returned from injury and partnered Bridge...from that point on, we were completely transformed.

My point is and always has been....

Ratchford and Bridge.

Not Bridge at 6 with anyone else....he stinks as bad as any other shat player on his own.

point remains.... putting bridge and ratchford at HB (as good as they were.. which was more ok, than brilliant) wont solve this current sides problems.

unless we can put Michael Monaghan in a time machine and get him back.

its not hindsight though.... its called 'managing a SL team'... briers left, we did nothing... hodgson left, we signed Russel then moved him to the wing.

I can see an argument why individually we can pick out the flaws in players in our team.

However let liken putting out a team as if like baking cake.
If the recipe use isn't right it can drastically effect the results, even if the ingredients are the same...!

So we look back at when we last created that cake perfectly and use those exact quantities of ingredients and use them in the right order.....!
