Jesus he shifts like Usain Bolt, and a tall lad aswell definately an improvement on Johnson. I'm made up the reserves ate back next year. Absolutely rediculous to scrap it and still seen no valid argument to have gotten rid of it in the first place.

Looks like he is a decent size who could fill out to be similar to Austin. Hopefully a good signing as we do lack blistering pace and you can't teach that. With him and Thewlis bubbling under it looks good

Exactly, Davis has been great value & I wouldn’t of expected him to play so many games but he’s been consistently good for us. Just shows you the gulf between Championship & SL level rugby isn’t exactly lightyears away. A player with the talent and the right attitude can go a long way (Walmsley/Hill/Bullock).

I’m hopefully he gets his opportunities on the wing when the time is right, he has the one thing you can’t learn or teach and that’s raw natural pace. A lot of watchers of the Championship rate him very highly.

Scored a good try against us at their place a couple of months ago but cant remember much more as I think he went off injured. Highly thought of in the Championship. Good luck to him! Hope it goes well

Not read the entire thread, but where does he fit in if charnley and lineham are fit? Not many top SL sides will give him that much space to run anyway.

In a healthy squad, the 2 players out of the 3 showing the best form get the shirts and if they play well then they keep them, if they have a poor match then we have an able replacement on the bench desperate to get the shirt. It doesn't always happen like that but it's always good to have competition for places.

Wouldn't surprise me if he spent the first half of the season as a utility back, covering where there are injuries. But it also wouldn't surprise me if he kicked any of your 1,2,3,4 or 5 out of the side next season. He isn't at that level yet but from the three or four games I've seen him have he's got a lot of potential. I think wing will be a very temporary position for him, he's got a lot of ability with the ball, he can pass. Not sure if he's got a kicking game, but his coach at Swinton says he's a replica of Ratchford at Salford but he's far quicker. He looks every bit a modern fullback to me, but could easily play anywhere in the backs from 1 to 6.

I know what you mean, but what do you think will happen? If he is real quality, hungry and adapts well to the team then he will take somebodies shirt! He may not play on the wing though so maybe lineham and Charnley will be fine.

Most likely, he seems like a very good option though. I hope he hits the ground running and puts some serious pressure on the starting backs when he gets his opportunity.

I very much doubt there is a quicker player in the game, his 4 tries against us 2 weeks ago, really put him in the spotlight. Good luck to the lad...
