But Lomaskell did well for Saints against Leeds. Evens and Blythe have performed well for Wire. Charnley is tearing up at Wigan. All of a skill level and ability as Gaz.

You thbink he's a better halfback than Grix and Bridge, but you contradict yourself by saying that you've hardly seen him play. Under 20 to SL is a massive step. He has to be eased in in the cup match. You also under estimate Simon Grix. He'll do as good job on Monday, a very skilful all round player. |

because he is a better playmaker than grix or clarke or anybody else who could be switched to halfback, i would have put gareth o'brien in but obviously hes not in the squad so i would go with hodgson. maybe put riley at full back with king on one wing and joel on the other. |

A thought on Hodgson, he could play fullback in defence and half back in attack, Riles is a handy fullback.
He won't like, it was just a thought.

I know we have, I just think that Cooper is a better option on the bench to Grix, would rather have strength in forwards against Hull, especially if the warm weather continues and they need to be subbed regularly.
That said, whatever Smith chooses I will be happy with. ISWT. |

Maybe start with Briersy and Grix in the halves, with Michael Monas at 9, and if things aren't going great then switch Monas to scrum-half but ISWT!

When you have got one of the worlds best hookers, why play him out of position!. Dont move players out of position for me if Myler is out then keep everybody else in their strongest positions and bring in a player to play scrum half. SIMPLES!!!

If Tony Smith feels that putting Mick Monas to scrum half and Mickey Higham to hooker is his best option then that is good enough for me!!! It worked well enough in the second half on Friday!
Gaz O'Brien will get his chance when TS feels the time is right; he is in the full time squad this season so he will be showing what he can do on a daily basis.

Bl00dy hell, they're not confident.
Loads of them are whinging that they've had to play an intense Derby, yet we've had a walk in the park against little Salford. Shouldn't they be a bit more confident after a good (but flattering scoreline) win.
Looks like (according to them) we've allready got the 2 points in the bag.....hope so.
