| What about Chris Bridge? We saw time and again that he's not an organising 6. When Briers isn't there Bridge can't work a team around the park like Briers can.
I reckon we should let go?
Also wasn't Ben Westwood supposed to be the 'new Keith Senior' according to David Plange. Even the old Senior is a better centre than Westwood ever was.
Another to let go.
And don't get me started on Michael Monaghan the new replacement for Nat Wood at 7....

| I posted on here a few days ago saying that currently Richie is a very good player for us and one day he will be a class player for us.
He is not a Lee or Long, we will have to buy or bring through another player for that role.
Anyone who cannot see what a player Richie is and will be can meet me at dawn with their choice of either pistols or cutlass.
Thinking on, I will change that, they can meet Mrs FB at dawn and can bring any weapon they choose including a Cruise Tomahawk.

| Quote ="Raymond Pennington"Every week Myler gets stick, every week we as fans hope he shows some glimpses of potential.
But I am afraid he is simply a 'Danny McGuire Mark 2'
He is never an organising half back and never will be.
So do we stick with him or hope he comes good, or simply let go?
'"
What a ridiculous post!!....
First off, was he actually bought as an 'organising half back'??.....Has Tony Smith ever said this??
Secondly, I hope he can be a McGuire Mark 2, because a half back running in 20-25 tries a season will be very useful....McGuire certainly has been for Leeds and Shaun Edwards had similar attributes at a young age for Wigan too.
Yes, we will miss Briers when he goes, but where is this thinking that Myler has to be his automatic replacement come from?....Myler will be Myler, a very good support half back, who scores lots of tries... The comparison with Briers is pointless, as they are 2 completely different players.

| I don't care if Myler ever becomes the "player we want". As long as he is the player that TS wants and the player that the team needs that will be good enough for me.

Exactly what I was going to say. Right before Brett's last try, Myler told him exactly where he wanted him. He deserve far more credit than he's getting.

| Agreed. Although, he needs a tighter shirt or something. The amount of times he was picked up by the collar on what of his scampering runs through the defence and got put on his was humorous/embarrassing last night. Although, glad he is taking on the line so ferociously, unlike a mister K. Judas.

| Great to see him taking on line last night. Just got scragged on three occasions, them's the breaks - might have had 3/4 tries with a bit of luck on his side. Good performance from Richie last night.

| Needs to super glue his collar to his neck, a good 3 times he got ragged. Tighter shirt needed as stated! I was actually encouraged by his performance last night, he took on the line very well.
I think some fans needs to understand that when Briers isn't there we shouldn't expect Myler to do everything, he has experienced ball playing creative players around him such as Hodgson and Monaghan, surley we should expect more from them when Briers isn't there? Rather then heaping all the pressure/expectation on a player who is still maturing and learning, some of the criticism coming his away is completely unjustified. PS Hodgson had his best game in a wire shirt.

| It's the same Ritchie Myler who is a very good Rugby League player, and the same Casual Des who I met for the first time in a pub in Cardiff and who came across as a complete toss pot. Warrington bloody casuals, what a load of rubbish.

you think Myler organised that attack last night......?
Bret Hodgson organised everything....how he didnt get man of the match by a country distance was staggering.
Myler was the only player I was dissapointed in last night...... and the organising thing...not a chance .........he did a lot of arm waving to tell players to get deeper or get wider...and thats all he did he even waved somebody deeper and there was no one near him to follow this instruction...!!
to me it looked like he was trying really hard to be an organiser while he had the chance with Briers out......but it didnt work for me lots of arm waving and hand clapping and no end product, thankfully we had Brett Hodgson......
Makes Tony Smiths decision to drop him for wembley last year look absolutely the right thing he has a long way to go in his development.

Stop talking with your d**k out!
The lad cant do right for doing wrong. He organises alot, he set up his side all game only for Higham to go the opposite way everytime.
Hodgson did deserve MOM but Myler wasnt far behind!

Think about it. With Hodgson floating about, he would be hard pressed to direct the structure of attack. I was quite impressed with Myler, lots of demanding the ball at first receiver and varying his play.
