Was a great atmosphere today, really enjoyed it.

The acoustics must be awful in the ground then because I barely heard you from the West Stand and I very rarely do.

That's no bad thing in my opinion though...

just got back, top atmosphere but i was also in the west end of the south stand and getting people to join in was impossible, i just looked like a pleb on my own

The drum gives it more atmosphere and gets behind the players when they need it most.

erm...... yes, shouldn't have to rely on making a false atmosphere its very small time!

I take everyones opinions on board and with Goerdie and Andy now deeciding to take a break over the last 10 years or so we have had differing views on the drums. howver, it will be very interesting the type of atmosphere we generate in the south stand, as i feel unlike the old fletch even with the drums it can be a bit dead at times, this may be due to the fact that the south stand is narrow and long therefore, you don'd get the same revebaration (bet thats spelt wrong) as you might get in say the west which is much deeper.

following on from above I remember the club asking the fans at a meeting during the construction of the HJ where they would prefer the main home stand to be and at the time i went for down the side, where i know alot of fans did want it behind the sticks, has always sparked off a good debate.

The atmosphere will improve with no drumming, although full credit to the drummers who've banged themselves silly over the past few years.

Well said and I agree 100%.

The only thing that irritates me more than the drums is tedious music played after we score. Okay so Tom Hark had a bit of novelty value when we first started playing it around 1997ish but it's been long since time to move on and in my opinion just stop it completely.

If you want a REAL atmosphere then show some passion and sing your heart out. Clapping along like performing seals does not an atmosphere make.

i dont agree, every other club has there music played after they score. if nothing was played then all the boring people in the crowd would clap and say well done, the music is played to get everyone on there feet cheering the lads on.

The only music that shpuld ever be played at a sporting event is the opening sequences of the Crystal Maze.

I think the drummers should be given free season tickets as they are part of the matchday and should be supported by the club it should include free away tickets and travel ,they add to the atmosphere on matchdays more than the cheerleaders, and bring together the crwd chanting rather than the fragmented chanting we had at wembley !
