Kev Penny and Ste Pickersgill have both been recalled

For deffo? I hope Pickersgill stays at Widnes tbh, he has been nothing short of a revelation these past few games, despit some poor results. Not too fussd about Kev, he was always likely to go back home at some point.

in the Q for tickets yesterday and saw Chris Riley arrive for training/treatment, walking unaided. He'll be OK for Wembley.
Could you imagine what Cudjoe might do to Kev Penny?

Great news to see them both back.
With Riley getting injured we need another replacement, who is a proven player on the wing.
Picky is a top player as well and like Kev is Wire to the core. Rah did'nt look up to it on Saturday and we need cover for a bench prop.

Both these Warrington lads will not let us down.

Make a feeble attempt to push him into touch as Penny dances round him for a try? If we're scared of Cudjoe then we might as well not bother with Wembley.

You'd imagine, they're back as squad depth to allow Smith to better prepare for the final, as in, rest a couple of players each week, as he judges who needs what preperation for the final kinda thing.

Great to see Kev back.

No problem for me if Kev plays in the final. He was with all the lads on Saturday watching the semi.

cudjoe (and loelisi) managed to make Francis Meli look like a bleedin superstar...I couldnt believe saints simply didnt give the ball to meli on every set of six and have him run at Cudjoe

Sadly, I think N. Brown is a shrewd coach and won't fall into the numpty trap of believing that Penny is poor under the high ball, despite all tangible evidence showing the opposite.

Penny's been fine for us under high ball! Scored a good few tries off just a big hoist to corner from 30m out or so!

Also his defence has got better, he's using his pace as a weapon now i.e. instead of coming out line to make the tackle he's simply showing players outisde and taking there legs if they go for it! On line defence would be different of course but can't remember him shipping any there wither (bar 1 in his 1st game!).

Whey hey, a lot of fans will be glad to see Penny back.

So when we get beat in the final, he can be the fall guy!

Another big factor in Penny's favour is that he would be playing outside King who is now full of confidence and playing at the level we all hoped he would.

Thats what i'm worried about, either that or Smith will just use him in a ggame or two coming up to the final then leave him out. Which then makes me wonder would it be better for him to stay at Widnes for a bit longer?

He may not get a game in the final, but as there is a chance he'll be needed, Smith is doing the right thing in getting him back into the squad / team to make sure he's up to speed with the systems - plus its a chance to see how's he come on whilst he's been away, and to evaluate where he's at for next season.

Wouldn't mind him ripping up the wing at the pie dome on friday..
