I was on about James not being from Manchester.
I think it's taken as a given that you didn't have to be born inside the city limits of Manchester to be a 'Manchester band', as The Verve are Wigan lads, The Happy Mondays were from Salford, Ian Brown was born in Warrington, The Charlatans, or at least Tim Burgess, are from Northwich, while modern day 'Manc band' The Courteeners are from Rochdale... |
