So the Higham break from dummy half which gained us a good 20 meters to be in front of the sticks in which we scored a try from the next play, was irrelevant on Saturday.

Neither of them are the best hooker in the world, it says a lot about the standard of our game that either of them have played for Great Britain IMO.

However not sure a debate on who is the best is needed. Clarke is better at controlling the game, and defence, with Higham coming on later as he is more of an impact hooker. They're different type of hookers.

FWIW, I don't think Clarke should have been given a contract extension, as we are pretty much stuck with him until 2011. Someone like Diskin could come in and do a better job for us. I think McIlorum would be a good future signing if we can tempt him away from Wigan.

Micky Higham is a good impact hooker, probably the best in the country behind James Roby.

But as a starting, organizational hooker he struggles to compete with the best, but that's to be expected as that isn't how he should be used. Starting Clarke and brining on Higham to run at tiring defenders is exactly how he should be used and Tony Smith seems to be doing this effectively.

That was one of the worst decisions in the clubs recent history.

Clarke got called up to GB as a last resort, Wire panick and hand him a 3/4 year improved deal when in fact no other SL team worth its salt would have come in for him.
