| Quote ="The All New Chester Wire"I'd be very surprised if Riley plays. My guess would be Bridge at full back with Williams and Monaghan on the wings - Atkins and King partnership may need to broken up (that would be the only reason to put Riley at full back, i.e. not to break up our left side).
Start Harrison in Westwood's place.
Bench of Solomona, Clarke, McCarthy, Mitchell.'"
Smith hinting he will.
Quote Veteran stand-off Lee Briers, who has played only once in the last seven weeks, will return to the side to offer some relief and the loss of Hodgson will pave the way for a recall for Chris Riley, whose last senior outing was in the Challenge Cup in May.
"It's a chance for Chris to show his wares again," said Smith. "He's chomping at the bit to get a crack.
Opportunity
"He's done a great job for us in the past and he's been very patient. It's a great opportunity for a young guy who has a decent track record."
Meanwhile, Morley will take a break from training in a final effort to recover from the effects of the head knock he took against St Helens in June.
"Moz has been doing his best to recover but he's going to have a little break from training and we hope that will help," said Smith.
"We'd be hopeful that he'll be back before the end of the season but there's a chance he may not. The bottom line is he's got to be symptom free before he can play again and he's still got some symptoms."'"

| My guess will be Riley to fullback, Bridge to 13, Briers back in at 6, Blythe back in the centres and Dave to take the last spot in the backrow.
Riley
Joel
Blythe
Atkins
King
Sir Briers
Myler
Woodenhead
Monas
Gaz
Anderson
Big Dave
Bridge
Clarke
Harrison
Cooper
Tyke
Mitch & Williams to miss out.

Woodenhead Tell him when you see him! Pretty decent 17 despite the injuries we've picked up.

| Even with no Morley & Westwood, assuming neither play agin this year, we've plenty of options.
Prop : Carvell, Cooper, Wood, Harrison, Hill.
Backrow : Anderson, Grix, Mitchell, Solomona, McCarthy, Blythe, Bridge (when Hodgson back).

| Little less positive re Riley in latest story on Guardian site. Hinting at Bridge now. Looks like Mitchell will play.

| Still almost certain Riles at FB for me, between Tyke and Mitch for last bench spot. I'd personally pick Tyke off what I've seen. Says a lot about Mitch when we played against Quins, he was the player we targeted from KO and got a lot of success.

| I think Bridge is the best option we have at fullback.
Bridge, J.Monaghan, King, Atkins, Riley, Briers, Myler. (Quality backline)
Then mix and match ten forwards, positionally they all do a bit of everything : M.Monaghan, Carvell, Wood, Harrison, Anderson, Solomona, Clarke, Cooper, Mitchell, Blythe/McCarthy.

My backline aswell.
We'd also have the option of keeping Atkins and King together on their side, then perhaps put Joel in centre with Riley outside him?
It's an option anyway. Forwards are still formidable too.

I think a lot of us have been to quick to write off Chris' abilities this year. He's obviously been out of favour by Che, whatever the reason may be but from what I've been told he's been playing well for the 20's, he's bided his time, made no complaints about not being picked and now his chance has come.
In terms of over Bridge at FB, I'd like to see Bridge at 13 as the other options, Harrison, Coops, Big Dave or Clarke will be needed as replacement props, starting backrower or replacement hooker respectively. For me, it's a case if getting the most out of the players fit to play and I think that line up IMO would be best suited. And FWIW I prefer Blythe in the centres than the backrow hence my selection.

Clarke as a replacement prop we are in deep trouble if that happens.

| Our left edge has been destroying teams so would rather move Joel to centre, put Bridge at fb and give Riley his chance on the wing to avoid breaking it up. Harrison in for westwood. Come on the wire!

| The nightmare scenario for me is if Monas gets hurt. We have shown recently that we can cover Morley & Briers amongst others. Westwood will be a little more difficult but I'm sure that we'll pull through because we have obvious choices. Losing Monas (And I'm touching wood whilst writing this) would end our challenge IMO.

Don't worry Higham is an adequate cover

| Some teams have certain players who just can't be adequately covered especially when they're in a rich vein of form. Monas for us, Sam T for Wigan, Roby for Saints and Chase for Cas. It's just the way it is.

| Slightly O/T - but have you seen Roby's stats??
They're amazing.
I'm not a big one for stats but when you've got a guy who's up there in most of them, he's got to be doing well.

Cos they are a 1 man side these days. Absolutely everything has to go through Roby.
His metres stats are unreal, because the sheer number of times he carries the ball dwarfs anyone else in the league.
