| It was obvious from the start that we weren't switched on,we made about 20m in the first set then started going laterally and trying to cut corners.
We still made enough breaks down the left to be comfortably in front and blew the lot and then we collapsed into panic play, mistakes and general incompetence.
Cooper aside, none of them deserve any credit but it was still eminently winnable. However, lamentable use of our forwards against a team reduced to two decent props, failure to target a woefully unfit Lui and the continued selection of Akuola on the bench didn't help.

| Leeds were the better team. Key players did not perform. Don't blame Moore who again confirmed he is a poor referee whom all teams have to suffer.

| My view of the game was that Leeds came with a plan of numbering up in all departments to knock us out of our stride. They appeared to have more men on the field than us....there were numbers in defence ,attack & a fluency in their ability to create gaps & spread the ball wide & don't forget their "fantastic line speed " .. Cas in the cup came with that plan too,& beat us at our own game .. We don't seem to be able to cope with defending against our own style of play.

| they've got some big middles, holroyd, prior (grub) and oledzki, big big bodies, thompson is big in comparison to DAvis, as a like for like.
Sita was a non event last night, cos after he came on the field, i dont think he completed a set, so was next to zero opportunity for him to run it in.
The clarke substitution was a weird on, and leaving butler (cart horse opinions not withstanding) on the bench with 12 minutes to go was pointless, we were crying out for more size in the middle.
Poor performances all around, poor tactics and poor subs.
WRite it off, lets not dwell on it and move on to the next one.
Have to wait and see what happens with charnley, his wrist looked like it was broken, he was holding it last week against wigan as well.

Liam Moore’s face was on pretty much every camera shot last night.

Out of interest what was it that`s upsetting you so much about Prior?
Tbh I really do not see him as a dirty player?
To play the number of minutes in 4 games in that position is pretty remarkable don`t you think?
As for some of the comments from posters that the ref robbed you of the win I must have dreamt we had 2 players binned and yet you still didn`t get the tries you needed to win the game.
Some of our players were that injured Lui and Mik they could hardly walk and you still blame the ref for losing
The funniest thing from last night apart from Phil Clarke that is was the supporter on the front row getting told off by his missus for swearing at the ref

I disagree.
We've seemingly always had games where we just don't turn up. Where the opposition hasn't been great but we've been even worse. Twice in the last two years, that's happened in the playoffs.
It's a mentality issue that needs to be addressed.

I thought Prior had a great game, easily the most dominant forward on the pitch.
The only thing that was annoying as a spectator was is constant 3rd man in the tackle lifting the players leg horizontally and pulling back. However it’s within the rules and serves the purpose of slowing the ruck speed down. Exactly the same as the 3rd man tackle below the knees to collapse the attacking opponent and for me it just starts ruining the game as a spectacle.
But fair play to Agar he knows if Warrington get on the front foot they will most likely win the game. For me if it happens to you as the attacker rather than trying to make metres on contact you need to go to ground early leaving yourself in a dominant position to play the ball quickly.

| I notice there is a thread on redvee laughing at us not being able to beat "the worst Leeds team in living menory". Is this the same Leeds team that saints scraped past in the cup when they had NO halfbacks available and their best prop sent off after 20 minutes?

It was quite a remarkable performance that day by Leeds.

He's just not a very good player, is he? We've had some dire halfbacks the last few years, Brown, Roberts, Patton etc but it tells you what the club think of him when thy are actively trying to replace him. I'd rather give Riley Dean a go.

He might not be very good, or what we need moving forward, but he’s a better player than you’re making out regardless of his shortcomings.

Must admit, I quite like Prior. No nonsense, gets stuck in and puts the minutes in.
Thought he was very good last night. Wish we had of signed him when we were supposed to be interested in him before he went to Leeds.

this, i've noticed it on sky games before tonight, and leeds use it in conjunction with ball steals, the player isn't concentrating on ball retention, as he's worrying about whats happening to his legs, or if he's gonna end up on his head.
I actually like prior he's a good steady NRL prop, does all the basics well, he's just noticeably a bit grubby. Which comes with being a steady NRL prop, i suppose.

well had we done so, the usual suspects would have been using it as a stick to beat the board with,

| We didn't play well enough with ball in hand, and our final pass was just terrible for most of the game. Leeds took their opportunities, while we created a number of breaks but finished none of them. Too much spilt ball, and I thought I heard that Warrington were around 50% completion and Leeds over 80 in the first half. You dont win many games doing that.

Spot on and that`s how you overcome the lifting of the legs by going to ground quicker.
However players have this mindset that they must stay upright and not get turned on their back or bullied in the tackle.
Like`s been said decent NRL props have the experience to work the rules.
For me Prior is a similar player to Peacock nothing flashy but will give everything week in week out.
I think by Friday he will have played 5 games in 15 days which for a prop is pretty impressive.

The man is simply a machine, but more than anything he’s bringing on the young forwards, they are learning from him and his experience is giving them quality time on the pitch.

Winner who will push boundaries in gamesmanship to win games. But he is also a skillfull player
He gives away penalty's but they're not normally in areas that are going to hurt so they're calculated. Do I like to see it no especially a whole teams game built around it but in a big game a few players who can ruffle a frw feathers and put some key players off their game. Is going to help.
Winning pretty is great in principle but it's normally the side that's willing to go that extra step and do what ever is necessary to win that pre
