| Honestly I think we will finish in the top 3 but it will take some work.
Price has got to let the lads play with the ball, most of them are use to throwing the ball around not the pedestrian attack's that he seems to like.
The defence needs to be miles better, but overall the team need to pull together and play for each other more and get rid of the attitude of "We are loosing, head's down and just accept it" which I seem to recall them doing quite often last season.

| Quote ="KingRoss11"I genuinely don’t think your squad is the issue, that 17 is easily good enough to be top 3 and have a real crack at old Trafford, it’s the coach that is issue imo, his boring 5 drives and a kick style isn’t suited to your team at all, if you can start shifting the ball wider and give Charnley and Lineham some space you’ll score points for fun. I also think Ratchford is woefully underused and should be played how Sam Tomkins was at Wigan in his later years'"
Price played that rugby in the first half of the season, he moved away from it when Austin got injured and we were solely reliant on Patton at half back.
I'm not sure whether Price is the man to lead us to a GF win, I'm sure we'll see a better style of RL than the second half of 2019 though.

| KRs post is a fair call.
Our situation reminds me of that at Everton a few weeks ago.
Marco Silva with a team performing well below their capability and with tactics that clearly don't work.
Ferguson comes in and instills a spirit and atmosphere that's been missing.
Maybe it won't work for long but there has been a change at Goodison.

Mustn’t bite! Won’t bite! Can’t help it... last won a trophy in 1995 Everton.Price has done more in two seasons, I hope this is a joke that’s whooshed over my head?

| I think you are missing his point. Same players, different attitude by the players. Big Dunc comes in, gets the players all fired up, different system. Different result a Win and a good performance. I think
Fez1 was pointing out Price has the players, but sometimes it looks like they are stifled and play boring predictable rugby.

| So we should bring Des Drummond in as coach and see if he has a Big Dunc effect. It would certainly fire up the crowd.

He'd certainly drop a few players, literally.

Chuka is like one of those rugby league players who emerges from one of the big club's academies, and gets hyped up as 'future GB captain'.
He never quite fits in, falls out with his club, gets moved on and gives interviews saying how it was a bad environment for him and he's now free to play his natural game. Then it doesn't work out there either and he ends up desperately moving round Hull KR, Salford and trying a stint in RU before retiring and trying to convince himself and everyone else, "I have no regrets, I had a great career".

| We will most likely end up next season saying we need a prop or two and if we had both Widdop n Austin on the pitch together more we could have won something.

| I'll be honest I'd take a challenge Cup win and 4th in the league all day long. I'd appreciate it if we did the 4th with a bit more style and entertainment this season though. I don't mind if we get knocked out in a close game in the playoffs if we play well and are beaten by the better team on the day. We need to look like a side that knows how to play rugby this season though as a bare minimum, I couldn't bring myself to watch on sky towards the end of last season never mind going to the HJ.

In terms of prize money and final standings we were 5th for the Super League 2019 season, however for the sake of argument let's say we were 4th. This issue to me is we were 20 points from the top placed team and 12 points from the relegated team. That's a true indication of where we were in 2019.
I suspect we will be behind the usual suspects - Wigan, Saints and Leeds in 2020 fighting it out around 4/5/6.

| With the resources available and talent in the squad we should be disappointed if we're not right up there, BUT let's hope SP has given himself a good talking to and come up with a decent set of game plans and as importantly the right mindset. Otherwise well be mid table.
Still booking my Toronto trip though.

| We should be able to equal any team in SL providing application, attitude & viable main & alternative game plans are in place.I would think ,as in many previous seasons ,any achievements will be in our hands to lose.

Exactly. With the right club leadership, drive and ambition there is no reason why Warrington cannot be regularly winning GFs like Wigan, Leeds and Saints. We have the finances, the support base and the facilities.

And yet with all that we still come up smelling of manure rather than roses. I think if we have a similar season to last Mr Moran et al will have to have a massive clear from top to bottom.

| The most memorable game I saw at Wilderspool was vs Pies WW3.
God I wish we can see just 1% of that 1st half throughout the coming season and I'd be satisfied.

Sick as **** how we never won that game.
It probably was THE most memorable one, duckie, for the first half alone (for specs of our vintage) .
Not my favourite, though
Can't pick between
Wigan Oct 86
Widnes Lancs Cup 89
Beating the all conquering Bradford in 01, coming from about 12 points back.
