So it doesn't count coz they're crap teams? Teams that have just beaten Stains and Pies respectively. We looked good and that's it, we'll know what kind of season we're gonna have about 5 or 6 games in.

I personally think it will be your year this time. Can't see you winning the treble but you will/should win at least one trophy.

Whilst a trophy would be nice, after last year's less than convincing displays I'd settle for some exciting RL, being competitive and in the hunt come the split. Ideally top 3, but, even 5th by a point, so that the play offs aren't a one loss away from being a dead loss, early end of season campaign.

Enough transition and more progression, a team playing with conviction and spirit will get my full support.

Don't know about "at least" one trophy, in just expecting something a bit more consistent and being more coherent as a team than utter averageness for a whole season like last year.

Third and a Challenge Cup final appearance/win is realistic for us this year. We still lack pace in the front row for me.

Nobody on the VT seems to fancy us which is arguably a good thing.

We have looked good but we will see once we are up and running. If we are in a good position post Easter then we can start to think about where we will end up. So important that the HJ is a fortress this year, it's a bit too inviting for me, hence, teams coming and turning us over last year.

I'd honestly just like us to play entertaining rugby and be 'in the mix'.
Last year was poor by our recent standards - not on about lack of trophies - but just our general play. We seemed bereft of ideas in attack.
I expect it to take a few weeks for things to gel but clearly Gidley has a huge role to play.
Just hope TS doesn't resort to rotation in the halves....

I don't think he will unless injury forces his hand. However I do think we will play with what is effectively 3 'halves' as we used to do when Hodgson played for us if Gidley, Ratchford and Sandow fill their squad numbers on the pitch. The full back position, if someone like Gidley plays there, will feature involvement in set plays and direction that will be light years away from if someone like Russell is there. No disrespect to Russell but I think he has a wing number on the squad for a reason. For what its worth I think Penny and Johnson have what it takes to put a good shift in as a 'third pivot' full back if we are short of numbers.
