he is a talent , one of the best youngsters in super league , gives 100% attacking and defending , not afraid to put on a hit

Terrific game, blotted his copybook by faffing from their kickoff instead of just running in and attacking the ball (several players were guilty of this today).

I don't like the fact Ben Harrison always tries to blind side a player and big hit them, it's cowardly.

If he is to big hit someone he should do it the proper way ala Morley and Sonny Bill Williams.

Big hitting someone on the blind side is akin to punching someone from the back or side.

It was it was a big hit alright, but he only had to move an yard onto Scruton though given L'Estrange threw him a hospital pass. He'll make far better and probably has done so already.

He's fantastic. Surley a test player in the next few seasons.

Think he will be in line for a call up for the England game on the 12th, which whilst good for him means with Mozza also on duty will leave us short of props for the Hull KR game

I like the way you give faint praise then can't resist the chance to have a little pop for the second time on this thread. I know what you mean though, can't all have tackling machines like Gleeson who can put their team out of the cup with one lousy tackle attempt.

Tomkins is the more creative player at the moment. Richie will develop this side of his game as time passes but Tomkins/Eastmond is the best England combo at the moment.

Tomkins allover stats are much better than mylers Jint.

One note of caution with Harrison is that he is being targetted when he tires and can be exposed when isolated as his lateral movement isn't great and he does tend to plant his feet. Happened a couple of times yesterday. I wonder if he is bulking up a bit too much at the expense of mobility.

Clough comes off the bench and plays second row. Harrison starts and has played front row and loose forward. How is that similiar?

Clough has played a few games at prop for Saints this season.

Not sure why people are seeing Rogues comments as a dig, he is right. I'm a big fan of Harrison but he does miss a lot of tackles where he gets a bit excited. He will learn and Smith will have noticed this.

What the stats don't show though is the actual quality of each of the tackles he does put in. Same with Louis and Westwood, they miss plenty, but the quality of the ones they make more than make up for this, and clearly our defence covers for these misses.

When you look at the likes of O'Loughlin who has made 500 tackles and only missed 12, then that is real quality.

Harrison comes in with a tackle completion of around 92.5% and if he could nudge that up to the 95% mark then he could become a Test player. Interestingly though, Cunningham's tackle completion is 88.9% and he hasn't had a bad career!
