Also on the Guardian website someone has uncovered a rumour about Carvell leaving at the end of the Season and being replaced with another one of Morley's mates, David Shillington.

I think Carvell is a good player.

He would do well in the NRL, he has the build and physical nature to perform over there.

Good luck to him if he does go, i think it would be a good thing for him to do and he would do well.

Shillington has a drink-drive conviction, which would surely create work permit issues.

If we need to make compromises on the salary cap then Louis would be one of the ones on my list to move on. He's ok but it's easier to get good back rowers than it is other positions. Not sure what he would get from going to Catalans though, he's not going to be improving his chances of winning trophies.

To some players though it is not about winning trophies its about the kerching!

I moved to Brisbane from Warrington a couple of years ago and they show all 8 weekly NRL rounds ( most of them live ) over the weekend , Shillington is a standout forward , he is huge and runs and punches his weight , would be a great signing for us . Problem is he is a current State of Origin and Australian player , would have to be a big offer I think to tempt him

Well to be fair I suppose LA has won trophies already, the lifestyle is better in Perpignan than Warrington so if he gets offered a good deal it will be worth looking at.

He will be a loss, although I wouldn't be surprised if he does go. Theres a few fleeing us now so it looks; Landerson, Carvell and King. Add to that next year Hodgson, Briers and Morley thats half a team that may need rebuilding in the next two years. Being honest it's alot of quality to replace, and I know me being one is maybe being abit to over dramatic as there is no factual evidence of players leaving, but are we at the beginning of a rebuilding cycle?
