At the risk of sounding patronising, why don't you give them a call?

I don't think the club have ever offered coaches to Widnes due to the distance only being 7 miles.

Trains are at the following times and the journey takes about 8 minutes.

The 110 bus to Widnes is at

21 minutes past and 51 minutes past.

Or as a last option it can easily be walked or cycled, I remember when Stevo and Phil Clarke did that walk and we went from Warrington Town Hall to Widnes and it didn't take long. That was the day the Brent Grose song was first sung.

Ttrain Station is quite a walk from the ground. The 110 bus runs every half an hour on a Sunady and drops you two minutes from the ground. I did post this on another thread but it was removed for some reason

It's only about 10 minutes at a steady pace, quite a few good watering holes on the way will slow you down though.

The town full of wires again, jeez ill have to lie down again.

You can always count on the Wire to boost a towns failing economy, even our younger, poorer brothers economy.

its a valid question about the coach i dont drive and i dont fancy being squashed on a train with to many wire fans packed on to them and yes it wont matter which train i get. but ill probably get a family member to drop me off but i would of got a coach if they did them

10 minutes are you sure. I used to walk from Widnes to Latchford on a regular basis and it would take 2 hours sober, 3 hours p1ssed.

I assume the original poster meant from Widnes station to the ground.

The train was sound last year. Not many on until Warrington when there was suddenly a mass pile on with others on the train looking confused as to what it was all about, then a packed singalong for five minutes on the way back before a mass pile out at Warrington and a few confused (and relieved they'd got off) people asking me who they all were.

Was funny on the way there as well. Couldn't believe they didn't have people at the entrance to station to check tickets. Would have made a fortune.

The club is laying on boats to get to Widnes leaves Bridgefoot at 12:30pm. £1 each.

Don't pay just get on it at central and off at smogville. Never a conductor in site last year!

I think it's outrageous that people fare jump. I know someone who works for Network Rail (or whatever they're called) and I'm going to make sure I encourage him to get conductors ready for this day. He's done it before and got a load of extra fees/convictions out of it.

Buy tickets Wire fans - don't get caught out!

Cant believe there wasn't someone checking for tickets before people got on the platform last time.
Almost as bad as Tescos not knowing there was a game on (happened at least twice that I know of).
