They played there for a season while the Stade Gilbert Brutus was being given a makeover. This could work in our favour, as we have never won at the Stade Gilbert Brutus while Catalan have been in Super League.

I preferred this stadium, for a start its closer to Perpignan town making it an easy walk.
I remember the first year we played in Perpignan and the road up to the stadium being full of Primrose and Blue with a party atmosphere.

Excellent choice, better ground, short walk and the only time we played their we won. I remember Fatbellly taking a photo of me and our kid on the pitch on the morning of the match.

Not surprised really, locking supporters out would have cost them a fortune. Interesting to see who they rate as the big four clubs!

I remember us playing at that stadium. They had a couple of girls carrying trays full of lager up to the stand. You didnt have to move from your seat to keep topped up (None of that Ghostbusters with a pack of carlsberg on the back nonsense).

As an exiled RL fan living in Spain, I have been to 2 of the games at Aime giral this season, Bradford and Leeds. I agree with the above much better stadium than the Brutus, unfortunately is only temporary as they are spending big money on refurbishing it. At least it looks like the Dragons are here to stay.
Is everyone sorted for accomodation and travel this season?

Getting itcy feet with the Dragons in town this weekend. Never been out to the south of France, what is the best route to fly (not that I guess the prices will be low by any means)?

I don't think specific games have been switched due to crowd size. They are building a new stand at Gilbert Brutus, so it is unavailable for a short time - four home games worth, which just happens to include ours.

Obviously perpignan airport is the first option. Carcassonne (sp?) is relatively close iirc. Barcelona is another option if you can hire a car. It's about a 2 hour drive. This is what we are doing as it is cheaper to fly here then and drive over as opposed to flying direct to perpignan.

Perpignan Airport is about 5 minutes from the town centre so is ideal.
Carcassonne is about one hours drive and you would need a hire car or coach transfers.
Barca is about 2 hours 30 minutes away and again it would be hire car or coach.

You really should go it is a great weekend.
