Well I am optimistic but I think we need a bad start to get Mr price leaving early to have any chance of winning really. We won't win anything with the negative mentality and toothless attack we have got used to, it only takes one defeat and the wheels fall off under this regime.

7th would be a shocking season.

Who's above us in that scenario? Wigan, St Helens, Leeds, Hull, Castleford, Catalans?

I've not seen the article but would also suggest that Huddersfield might also be in the could be above us picks by some pundits

2 of those will definitely finish above us. Leeds and Hull probably will. Add in Huddersfield and 6th looks a likely bet. My only hope is that price buggers off early and whoever steps in to take temporary charge takes the shackles off the team.

Whoever as predicted us for 7th Spot won't be far off..suppose we.ll have some sort of clue after 1st 2 games

We haven’t been what we have wanted attack wise under price but he’s done well here, I think it’s time to go but getting behind him is the right thing to do. In 2009 we’d have killed for the success we’ve had under him

7th seems low. I reckon 3rd to 5th in the table, early playoff exit.

Or defence wise, we have been pretty awful generally. First season was great and just what we needed but we didn't build from there. The form last year when we came back from the break was fantastic too, so credit where its due.

He hasn't been all bad but I've been more frustrated watching Warrington under price than any other coach since I've been watching. I hope we are great this season but I won't hold my breath.

We should have enough to finish in the top five though I have a horrible feeling that we might not see much of GI. I think he'll spend a lot of the season nursing various injuries. Hope I'm wrong though.
Tried 40/20 mag a few years ago but never found it that interesting. Ditched their podcast as Caplan's relentless Leeds bias just became tedious.

Don’t get me wrong. I think we’ve underachieved and with some more creativity attack wise could have two or three more trophies. I just think we shouldn’t think we have a right to be successful and the fact we have challenged every year shouldn’t be discounted.

Unfortunately I can't see past Wigan and Saints but the early confirmation of Price's departure might even help galvanise the team rather than living under a cloud of rumour and conjecture.

Fair enough, I didn't expect that to be fair I suppose it shouldn't be that surprising when it was painfully obvious that attack was not the priority on the training field.

We don't have an automatic right to win trophies you're right and it's something I'm always conscious of, but I can't agree that we challenged in 2019 and 2020 with the playoff performances we put in. Add to that the cup semi final last year as well. Steve Price did make 3 of the first 4 finals that we had the opportunity to be in, winning 1 challenge Cup which is very good coming from the middle 8s. Since that final though I don't think we have challenged at all on any front and that result and performance was a shock because for me we had been poor in the build up to that challenge cup final as well.

Disappointed in you RD LLS WINNERS, CC WINNERS,GF WINNERS minimum, but I’m hoping for more.

As of now I think we've done quite well under Price. The frustrations are more that we have hit a clear plateau. He hasn't been a bad coach and there is always risk in moving on to someone else that we get worse rather than better. He's ranked second for me in Wire coaches of my time as a fan:
