So, where is Widdop?

Looks good to me. We need our big units on from the start to.keep Walmsley on a tight rein - once he goes off a big part of Saints go forward goes with him.

More than likely to be not recovered from Covid.
That's the thing about this horrible virus - it can affect anybody to any extent.

I just hope he recovers to 100% quickly for his (and his familys) sake.

Think we need Ratch at FB Ashton Wing. Not sure if Patton good enough for HB in important game as this but who else?

Don't like Mamo on the wing - prefer Toby there because of his high ball ability.
Can't see Ratch starting anywhere other than in the halves for the good of the team, with Ashton at full back.

Bench - Philbin, BMM then 2 from Latu, Davis, Walker and Patton.

It's tough on the 2 that miss out because none of them have had bad games recently.
Latu possibly the least effective but he is a big unit so if SP wants it to be played in the forwards I guess he'd chose him
All of the other 3 can play at hooker as back up to Daz, but Davis has more size and more of a 2nd row than the others

Not keen on Ratchford at halfback, not keen on Mamo on the wing, but Patton as starting halfback isn't the answer in such a big game.

True, over twelve months ago. He wasn't in the starting line up last week, and is unlikely to start in our next game.

Ashton at FB would be a bit of a good move i reckon for your Saints game. A lot of Saints' attacking game comes from Regan Grace breaks, there is only one player on the pitch quick enough to get hold of him and break those plays down and when the field is broken Ashton will be crucial.

Not kidding! Apparently the only way Saints lose any match this year is because the opposition cheats.

Intrigued I also visited redvee what a place that is we've definitely got under their skin like scabies a la John Cooper Clarke's poem and the rest.

It looks like “Austin fake head injury in the in goal” is the Saints supporters equivalent of the old Leeds “how many Briers dummy spits”. Normally a good sign when a player irritates the opposition fans (LMS being the exception to the rule).

Covid or not, our successes under TS came after we sent a diluted team out away the week ahead of the CC final.

Beating Saints will come down to what we did in 2019. We out muscled them because we’re bigger across the pitch.
If we do that again, we win regardless who our hb are...

However, I’m not completely convinced by my own comments as I usually am vs Saints. :-/
