What's the best result as far as we are concerned..is it a saints win just to keep in touch with Wigan or Wigan to win to demoralise saints...we know a wakey win would be nice for us too...after saints over top celebrations against us weeks ago a bit of me is leaning to Wigan tonight..

Given how things are right now I would be happy with 4th and go to Saints.

Same here plus it feels wrong to want stains to win any game.

Tough one because I think second place has gone now looking at the points and the fixtures. If Saints win tonight we'd be 3 points behind Wigan having played the same number of games.

It's all a bit que sera sera for me. We might not win away at Saints OR Wigan and 4th isn't yet cemented, but, I'd favour a trip to Saints (just a bit better than last year's trip to Fev)

I can foresee a lot of Pies being rested for this fixture if they have second place sewn up. It might add a little more weight to next Friday's result.

Should 1st and 2nd be settled before Pies play Huddersfield, it would give Wane an opportunity to rest players, if it's a meaningless game. Then throw the best team out against Hull the week before the playoffs.
I still see this happening, albeit looking rather academic to us thanks to Trinity's win tonight. Guess we'll find out how things pan out in the next few weeks.

Well I wasn't talking about the future is was in reference to the game this evening...however it's not my intention to insult anyone so I whole heartedly apologise and retract my comments
...but I'll pass on some advise and that what I said was tame by some distance for these boards. I suggest to tighten your breeches.

These results last night gives Steve Price options down the line. Win next week and 4th is nailed on guaranteed which is one above the guaranteed option we have right now. Steve Price said we had busted players on the field last night who put there hand up to rectify the wrong of last Saturday. Lets rotate 2 or 3 players and get them all fit.

Looking at the form of the teams going into the last few weeks.

Saints - Have hit the brick wall and started to lose players to injury
Wigan - Over the mid season blip and are hitting their straps at the business end of the season as usual.
Cas - Players returning from injury, and are still firing at 90%
Wire - Not at our best

I think the best outcome in all of this is for us to get all available players fit and to play Saints in the semi final and let Wigan and Cas battle for second and meet in the other semi.

No problem RD, and I note your warning in respect of posters giving replies that are a lot worse when there's a disagreement. I read an article this morning regarding a doctor and a surgeon who came to blows over an argument about whether a certain lady was attractive enough for television.

We could do with giving BMM a good old rest as he always seems to strain something and he could be key for us if we make the playoffs. I think resting some of our front row could be handy as well.
