No love for Catalans after last year's MPG that saw you both directly and indirectly (after recent events) gifted a free cherry-pick of Leigh players. No love for any of the faux-expansionist clubs to be honest (for obvious reasons).

8 or 9 out of 10 performance against the most successful club of the summer era. I have to agree tht Leeds were pretty poor, but that club has won enough pots to command our respect and players like JJB, Hall and Ablett have enough bling in the cupboard to make you feel nervy.

We could be more clinical (Stefan!) and better sides could make us pay for the amount of possession we cough up, but the effort in defence was terrific and there lots of great individual performances: Clark, Lineham and Toby were among my favourites. Credit to the likes of George King, who I thought was excellent, and to all of our pack who made good metres and quick play-the-balls to highlight the shortcomings in the Leeds defence.
