From what i heard, it is no where near as bad as the first injury, and he should be tip top for next year. However, you have to be wary especially with injuries like this.....

Just hope its a clean up and rest that is required.

I can live with that, it was good to see him back but i woiuld of saved him for next season anyway.

We have a similar situation with Stevie Ward who seems to get some bad injuries too.

I hope he recovers well for next season. If he comes through a good preseason he will be like a new signing for us and can hopefully have a big year. Really feel for him though, he will be gutted.

he should have been taken off immediately after he went down and been stretchered off the pitch.

its a very bad injury and to have let him run it off is scandalous and the club physio should be off along with smith n agar !!!


I hope he gets back to 100 fitness and can put this injury and period behind him he will be a miss for England but if he had gotten through the season I think he wold have not been available for the work cup as due to have minor surgery

If found guilty he's the lowest of the low. He knew who he was tackling, and he must know what putting undue pressure on that joint could have resulted in.

Not really doubting the OP, but hoping he's wide of the mark and a couple of weeks rest is all he needs.

Didn't he go down first time because of a knock to his 'good' knee? Second time it was his 'bad' one, unrelated to the first incident?

It has its place I think. If a player is generally 'well behaved' he gets the benefit, if he's a Jamie Acton he doesn't. Any incident above a certain grading isn't allowed to utilise the EGP.

Seems fair to me that someone like Westwood gets the full ban, someone like Lineham gets a reduced ban.

No disciplinary system will ever be perfect in a sport like RL, I don't think the current system is too bad, but I'm not sure it's applied consistently, and too often there seems to be a blind focus on one type of infringement and in this case, similar to the Grix (I think?) incident @ Hull KR in years past, how do you, or should you take in to account the injury caused by the specific piece of foul play.

Anyway, this was against one of ours, so string him up I say!!

He may never be 'right again. Injuries of this nature can dog a player for the rest of their career I was really surprised when we improved his contract whilst out with the injury.

He's just tweeted, 'when people find out rumours about you before you do'.
