Said the same to my mate last night, had my son (icon_cool.gif with me and the pre-match was great for him. The light show and the searchlights as you approach the stadium make it feal like an event.

Not just a big improvement from the Wilderspool days but also a big improvement from last year. The whole matchday experience focus seemed to have taken a bit of a back seat latterly.

Utter cheese on toast.

I am surprised our local airports will allow it . The lights can be seen for miles around lighting up the sky. I like it though.

Light would only affect flight path into Liverpool and would be coordinated so as to not affect flights. Its the same thing when they do the firework display at Runcorn bridge. If they cant agree a slot, it doesnt happen.

Personally I like the Pre match these days, It builds up the excitement and makes it more of an event than previous seasons.

I like it, i thought the first week it added something, it made it a spectacle. however i was expecting to hear a few people complaining, saying, its rugby league, its warrington, not bloody disney on ice. Fortunately that doesnt' appear to have been aired, certainly not on here and not amongst some wire fans of the older generation that i speak to, those being the ones i would expect to be unhappy with it.

As i say, it turns it into a special event, and whether you like the cheerleaders or whatever, the dancing segment and the light show makes it seem more than just a rugby match, which is exactly what our Rog wanted to achieve.

It really made this into an event even though the cloudy night reduced the effect from a distance.

With the efforts being made on and off the pitch the stadium deserves to be full.

I think this week deserves to be a sell out, i know its a short turnaround but i'd be pushing to try our hardest to get as many people in as possible, be it doing one of them phonearound do dads they have done a couple of times.

i'd like to say widnes should as well, but would imagine a large amount of bellends will be coming out of the woodwork anyway.

I was wondering what the german pilot of the easijet flight was thinking when he flew overhead.

Not had one for a couple of seasons. Got a Flexi membership on Saturday and have booked a seat for Widnes and St Helens games. Next one after that might be Leeds.

I would imagine he was thinking he wished he had a season ticket, and was watching the match.

Generally it is the west stand letting us down, we are getting 10-11k with hardly any away support.

I think Widnes/Wigan/Saints will see a 14k attendance.

Was going to say Salford but their entire support would fit in the west with room to spare.

Tbf they brought about 1,000 to our place on a Thursday night which I thought was decent.

Widnes usually fill 2/3 of that stand, with recent results both sides and it being a bank holiday I think they'll bring 3k easy.

Plus they see us as the derby not Wigan they'll be there in force, should be a good atmosphere.

Already got my ticket as I heard they were selling fast.

Last year Salford was our highest attendance at 11,800 ish

I am interested to see the attendance this Friday as well because I suspect Widnes could bring 2-3K and with around 11K home supporters that should indeed give us around 13-14K. The stadium will be really buzzing.
