Scrappy at times but a great defensive effort.

some of the hits Louis Anderson put in were excellent so I would probably give him the edge over Richie Mathers and Richie Myler today.

Nothing. There just seem to be a minority on here who jump down his throat at every chance they get. If he makes a mistake he gets slagged off for some reason - he's only human.

Mathers for me with Solo & Anderson just behind. 50 minute stint from Solomona who folks said wasn't fit & his try probably clinched it. Mathers though I thought showed the most leadership & direction around the pitch in the 2nd half when we were crying out for it, setting up the first try for Ging & taking his own well.

When I'm shouting for Higham to come on after 15 minutes, things must be bad. I did suggest that Monaghan would not produce semi-final type performances week in, week out about two months ago, but was told repeatedly he was the best hooker in Super League. He's not. He can be. But only occasionally.

Problem we have is both of our hookers are front foot hookers, we haven't got a back foot hooker. When we're dominant, or there's a fast paced game - I think Monaghan in particular is up there with the best hookers in the league. In a laboured, slow game like yesterday when the key is accurate distribution to enable your forwards to gain quick ball security and move forward neither of them perform.

Alker was better than both yesterday.
