| Got talking to the people sat next to me at half time because i was there by myself. Told them I am from Stockton on Tees and it turns out they lived 5 minutes away in Yarm (where i grew up) and eaglescliffe. Funny old world.
Anyone else ended up sat next to an old friend or neighbour?
Also there was a guy sat a few rows in front of me who i presume was a wire fan (because of the wire shirt) who must of spent half the match facing the fans thinking he was a cheer leader. I like people trying to get the atmosphere going but surely people go to the match to watch it.

Ha Ha Ha Glad he was OK.
I was walking back to my seat from the lav at half time and saw a wire fan being chased by some stewards. He wasnt really running it was more of that Peter Kay Dad Run. Would have been perfect if there had of been some Benny Hill music played over it. Don't know what he had done.

Was that section 518, east stand by any chance? Because if not, we had a similar bloke...
There was a Wire fan not far from me who was a bit worse for wear who kept shouting "S**thelens" at one bloke who appeared to be wearing a Wigan shirt...
I think the funniest bit we had was going into a McDonalds under Hammersmith bus station at around 1 in the morning after the match, and some lads appeared signing "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon" to us

| at half time we watched a forty year old female wire fan carrying a full four pint holder back to her seat. the problem was that she had already had a skinful and couldn't remember where she was sat. by the time she had called whoever on her mobile she had spilled three and a half pints on the floor ( about £14.00) - priceless!

Similar one, or maybe the same (as the OPs) in Block 504, row 24 (the row in front of me). He was pretty good actually, got our area rocking a few times when we were starting to flag.

Not as bad as you, but I lost my 12 year old outside the Greyhound after the game. We decided to head for the train but, as usual, he was in his own little world and thought we were all off to the toilets. Mild panic when we realised he was not with us so I stayed where I was by the road, one of us carried on towards the station and the other walked back to where we had been stood.
He then pops out of the crowd right in front of me and calm as you like asked if we'd already been to the toilet or not!
The year Saints beat wigan at Cardiff he would have been about 7 and I lost him there too. Got a phone call from the wife, who had stayed at home, at about midnight asking where he was and I had absolutely no idea, though in my drunken state I had absolutely no idea where I was either. She read the riot act to me and I was bricking it until she explained that I was in a hotel (we had been planning to come home but a few of us were the worse for wear) and the lad was staying with the family we had gone with as their mum was sober. Their mum had phoned the wife 5 minutes earlier.

| The thing that sticks in my mind is the number of coach spotters in the coach park near the east stand. They were all fat middle aged balding (single) men busily scribbling each number down as we pulled in. I must be missing something

| Back at the Hotel on Saturday night my wife and myself had a meal and a few more drinks to celebrate. The Waitress brought me a pint of Lager and the wife had a glass of Champagne. As she put them on the Table she spilt them both over my lap and covered me in Ale. she was really apologetic and amazed when I told her that nothing could possibly upset me and I actually invited her to spill another one over me. Just for good measure we also gave her a decent tip.

| Walked past that Team Robbo (Luke Robinson's sister, fiance and annoying friends) outside the ground.
Our kid went to the ladies' on her own and managed to somehow get lost. After standing round outside the ladies' toilets for about ten minutes looking a bit of a prick, she came running up sobbing her eyes out, with a woman in a 'Wire at Wembley' shirt and a female steward. They found her outside the Gents', as she'd assumed I'd gone to the toilet, too. Turned out the woman was the tutor at a First Aid Course I was on. Small world.
Also, desperate for a pee and not wanting to lose her again, I peed into an empty pintpot in a corner of the gents' loos.
"We're not in orford now, lad" someone quipped.
"I know," I said, "that's why I'm ing in the cup, not on the floor."
And, we won the Challenge Cup!
Now The Wire!

| Where to start:
* Almost totalling my car on the M6 after some Dingleberry in a white van decided to slam his brakes on for no reason on the motorway.
* Talking in a pub in Watford to a guy with a Yorkshire accent going on about how his team are going to get battered without realising he was wearing a Wire T-Shirt (It was a long drive to Watford!)
* Seeing Wembley Stadium from the train on the way to Euston Station.
* Hearing someone shouting my name about 3 times, and after looking around, I saw DJ Birchy legging it towards me!!
* Running to the toilet in the hotel room as I was desperate for a dump, but not stopping to realise that the curtains on the window were not drawn, and a group of people in the building opposite were watching my every move and cheering.
* Getting two chavs the telling off of their lives from a relative by "inadvertantly" pressing the STOP button on the shuttle bus from the Skolars game (they'd already done it twice and were warned not to do it again!).
* Seeing one of our party stand in disbelief on Kings Cross underground as two of us board a underground train to head towards Aldgate East. The idea was to board it with us!!
* Wetherspoons breakfast on Saturday morning. Great way to start the day, great way to off the dietitian though.
* Train journey down to Wembley Central, taking in the atmosphere of the streets outside the station, full of RL fans.
* Trying to trek up that hill to get to the Green Man pub. I swear I'm going to need an inhaler soon! Atmosphere in there was fantastic, fans mingling everywhere, light hearted banter and plenty of changing. Plus managed to meet a few people from off here, even if it seemed that they didn't want to meet me!
* Doing the Wembley walk and trotting up the concourse steps and seeing the stadium in all it's glory. Never gets tired, even if it was my third visit.
* Having a great bit of banter with a Saints fan sitting next to me and some Hudds fans in the row in front.
* Being extremely emotional at the end of the game, so much so I cried on one of my mates shoulders , before sending a text to about 50 odd people simply saying "WHOO HOO! GET THE **** IN THERE! ".
* Seeing Lee Briers finally get his hands on some silverware. My god, he's not half deserved it!!
* Getting a wave off some of the Wire players as they did a lap of honour as I was the only Wire fan left in my the part of the stadium and it wasn't difficult to spot me.
* The homecoming (despite the rain).
* Knowing that we will be known as the "Defending Challenge Cup holders" for the next 12 months!
* All the pictures that have appeared on Facebook over the last few days showing people having a cracking weekend!
