It looks like our squad for next season is beginning to take shape, in terms of player retention anyway. However the following players are still out of contract at the end of the season: Johnson, Briers, Rauhihi, Anderson, Pickersgill, Cooper, Bridge.

Who out of those do you think we will keep beyond this year? I reckon only Cooper, Bridge and maybe Briers should be given new deals. Which youngsters will be promoted to the first team squad for next season. Maybe the likes of Rhys Williams and Tyrone McCarthy perhaps.

I think Bridge, Anderson, Johnson and Cooper will get deals the other three will go and imo rightly so.

Yeah your right I meant Briers. I'm not his biggest fan nor critic, but realistically we might need to keep him for another year or two until someone better becomes available, especially if Monaghan leaves as well.

I think we could do better than Johnson really. I like him, I like the work he does out of acting half but I think we could do better, be it a specialist backrower or utility back.

Cooper & Bridge are no brainers for me, Cooper from his form, Bridge form wise & also (touch wood) that it appears he's getting over his injury jinx. Incidentally, it's always brought up on here how I stick up for Bridge, what folk don't seem to bringing up is how many people on here, last year just wanted him released, pretty much the second he got that injury, he was finished, he was biscuit. Now the same folk want to keep him after he's strung together 8 games.

Cooper on a 2/3 year deal. Give Bridge a year, with the option of two more.

Dip your toe in the market, see what halves are kicking around, if there's nobody better give Briers another year. If there are better, guard of honour last home game, thanks for the memories.

Johnson, Briers and Pickersgill will defo go IMO.

Rauhihi and V Anderson may pick up new deals if they are lucky.

I'd get rid of both the Andersons,neither of them are consistent enough for me.

How do you know we have not already signed a replacement for Briers ?Pickersgill will not get another contract ,Johnson might ,Bridge is a maybe depends on what centres are available !

That doesn't mean that a replacement has not been lined up or or even signed does it ,players who are currently at other clubs and still under contract will not want it to be common knowledge until the season is over !

Myler is replacing Briers.

I think we should all just wait for the official announcements and not jump to any conclusions.

Its clear that Tache has had his fingers well and truly burnt by trying to speculate and failing miserably.

Who knows Tony may surprise us all and award Mr Briers with a new contract.

Briers is coming to the end of his career and we need to build without him, get rid.

Johnson looks like injuries have caught up with him and doesn’t offer much apart from he can cover wing, centre and 2nd row. We want quality rather than someone who was good once but is not very effective.

Rauhihi9 has been okay, but next year is a season too far.

Pickersgill will probably end up at Widnes.

i made a statement which i stand by but i will not carry the blame for other peoples wild guesses and rumourmongering.we have made the signing i was told about,i have nothing more to add to that.

I can guarantee that Wire will announce a new signing within the next couple of months. Effectively thats all you have told us, so really its nothing that we dont already know.
