Quite a simple game to work out tonight.
Take 1 team that regulary wins trophies or finishes runners up against another team that regulary struggles to finish in the top 6,has not won a trophy since the mid 90s,has an aging team and has a habit of playing players in the wrong position.Put this together and the bookies handicap of -8 is quite simply wrong,it should be double that.

Its intended to last for the season and not just 1 game.

If you did that same bet on the 4 games last season against them you would have lost everytime.

Obviously you dont keep records,but -8 was certainly not available on all 4 games last year.

I think he means that all 4 games last season would have lost you a bet with -8.

gordon bennett,the point is that the handicap mark is wrong,thats why i say that saints -8 is the bet.if the hc was saints -28 and my mark said it should be -16,then obviously wire on the hc would be the bet

No, the point you were making is that on past history, Saints should beat us by more than 8, therefore you think people should bet on Saints tonight. Whearas, last season (when past history was similar, in fact worse), betting on Saints with a -8 handicap would have seen you lose all 4 bets.

In other words, your logic for tonight is flawed.

Maybe not but the point am making is if you were to do that bet (with the reasons you give you could of said the same last season) you would of lost.

We don't need any threads but seen as it's a public forum, it's rugby related and some people have a view on it, i will post it.

I don't brag about anything, i simply put up odds 2 days before a game with my opinion, i then ask for other people to give there opinions, people like Sirlesboyd and JWP give good views.

The logic is'nt flawed.As you rightly point out,the CC game was -14,the 1st was -8,the 2nd league game at saints was -12 and the home game was Wire +6.

The point I am trying to get across is,that according to a -8 handicap,the ookies are saying that Warrington are only a place or 2 behind Saints and I'm saying we are more than a place or behind Saints,hence my mark of -16.

the point i was making about betting threads, i know you or les usually start one before matches, but they aint all that huge sprawling threads are they, and normally drop off the page pretty quickly, hence not warranting an annual one,of course things change don't they.

Oh yes i agree we don't need one thread to run all year round but a couple of days before each match is fine, we have threads about the best cheese to eat and crocked pavement slabs on the streets, know there useless.
