2 feckin big props needed for next season.
Catalans completely bossed the middle....lucky for us they enter down a large guy or they'd have been no shared spoils.

Even one big prop signing for next year is the bare minimum.

Well Cats had 4 big props on the bench. We went with Patton and Pomeroy. We could have had Crosby and BMM had they not been injured. We might have won if we had them.

The defeat was jack all to do with props : we matched them physically just fine in the second half. We just didn't open them up.

Crosby on his way out apparently and BBM is okay as impact.
Westwood is 35 and could get another season and the only forward bagged so far is another backrower makeshift prop and Akandunowt for another season...
We need someone at least as tall as Hill.

The only team what was getting opened up was Wire...we couldn't break them and had to try and go around them.

You don't need hope DAG...only for another prop. I fear one signing isn't going to be enough in 2019.

He’d be a great buy, just what we are lacking, for me. Still, wouldn’t disagree when you say we need two props. That and a couple of others in other areas in an ideal world perhaps.

Got to agree with the need for some big go forward props but at the moment would make no difference as we dont appear to have a clue what to do when we get within 10 metres of the opposition line

last night he returned a ball on the set after Drinkwaters missed shot that was an outstanding effort. It got us right up field and in to a great position but you seem to be unable to spot stuff like that.. I guess cos we didnt win it wasnt good enough..

Well done for spotting that. I missed it. I don't however recall ever calling Cooper "Butterfingers"?
I'm not sure I want to keep on saying it either. He doesn't knock on that often.

Perhaps a novel way to deal with these mega forwards of other clubs would be to give the ball some air straight from tackle 1 instead of making 5 fruitless drives before trying the ball through hands on tackle 6.

We need some, as a matter of urgency

The last time we were a PROPER team was back in 2013, when our props were Morley, Carvell, Hill and Wood.
Today's is a far cry from those days
Hill is still up there
Cooper is merely a second rower, promoted
Crosby is Wigan's cast off, and hasn't done anything of note In a Wire top
King George is nowhere near good enough, at this level

4 top notch props gets you sniffing round trophies

Got to disagree on cooper, he's been our best prop this year.

Hill has been up and down, better then last year but that's not saying much.
Crosby started well but has dropped of again.
King has shown that he's not good enough for a team wanting to challenge.

I think one top drawer prop would see us right next year.

I don't disagree with Cooper's form, he just isn't the same size (it seems to me) as a Morley Carvell Hill Wood. He need a bit more bulk. Les Cats had us at arms length (like a top heavyweight boxer would against a cruiserweight) last night.

Can't disagree with that. Size doesn't always come into it though. Sims was similar height and weight to hill but didn't have that strength and determination.
Different position but look at Bateman, it defies logic that he's that strong.


With those 4 you mention, cooper would be 4th choice over wood, which I suppose tells you all you need to know about our back up

I'm fairly sure Crosby wasn't a Pie cast off, but chose not to sign a new deal and follow his best mate Hughes, who was in his first season and having a stand out period. He was really enjoying it and persuaded Crosby to sign.

Crosby was the current no8 at Wigan at that time.
