He totally bought the wrong club.... Didn't he buy salford after watching ONE GAME of RL?

He probably watched a great friday night game on sky, drank 2 bottles of wine and clicked the BUY IT NOW button on ebay.

It doesn’t matter what club he’d of bought because he’s still the same person. Unpaid players , breaking of the salary cap, getting too involved in the changing room and throwing two decent coaches out because they didn’t get results there and then. These problems were down to what club he got imvolve because he would of done this anywhere. Any person from any club wanting Koukash to get involved is foolish. He should go back to his horses and stay there.

Did I read somewhere he doesn't actually own the horses, he just leases them.

To me this feels like BHS all over again. I can't see anyway that Salford can survive without his money, bearing in mind the poor support they've been having since their move to the new stadium.

Whilst we may not like the man or his brash nature ultimately it's a lot of money leaving the game !!

He was the only owner to fight for change, he wanted to spend more money and wanted better tv deals !! Nothing wrong with that and Salford have not dont that bad this year and are starting to get their act together on the pitch

When Koukash took over at Salford at the start of 2013 they were heading for going bust or likely to be relegated, whilst we were Challenge Cup holders and had been in the Grand Final the last season and were favourites or second favourites to win SL in 2013.

I can't remember if amongst his many grandiose claims at the time whether he predicted he would overtake Warrington before he left Salford, I'm sure we would all have laughed at him if he had.

Salford club isn't helped by that ridiculous ground, their own fans don't seem to like travelling there in numbers & getting off the place is an ordeal it shouldn't be for the few fans that are in the ground on match days.

Could it be that he's leaving because Sale Sharks are buying the stadium and he doesn't want to admit he can't afford to compete...Perhaps he's rich as Donald Trump is rich.....debt rich but cash poor....or even more likely his Dubai money men have refused to extend his line of credit.

Pee poor attendances, team not "kicking on" after a great start to the season, a stadium that they may not own (in the future). It's not exactly a glowing cV for any potential owners/investors, is it.

It obvious you don't know everything then. You can lease a horse outright or lease a share, own a share or sublet a share of a horse you lease in whole or part. You can called it any name if excepted for racing by the BRA as this is almost always not the breeding and/or stable name.
I don't know if Doc leases them or not...but for sure I don't ever recall seeing any of his horses run in claimer or selling stake races. I've never heard of him talking of breeding either.

On that evidence, it looks like he could lease them in whole, although it would be a very unique practice.

If that is genuine BWW then he either owns a good chunk of Kuwait or is a very shrewd businessman. If it is the latter he won't have made his fortune with throwing good money after bad so leaving Salford is understandable.
