Is anyone else sick to death yet of our shrieking new stadium announcer ? His frustrated dj type announcing really gets on my nerves. Isn't he the bloke that covers most of the big RL games as the stadium announcer?

I like him. Can hear what he is saying better than Dom.

It is a bit strange hearing him here, as his voice is synonymous with big games!

I can't really say that I pay much attention, but it used to really irk me when the other guy would say 'Super Bennie Westwood'. Grumpy, I know!

It is Pete Nuttall who was our announcer years ago before he went to Leeds, and yes he does all the big RFL games.

The announcer yesterday was Pete Nuttall, he did both u19's game against Catalans as well.

Chris Evans was at the game not as announcer but as the guest of Simon Moran.

Surprised Chris Evans made an appearance. Can't think I've ever seen him at a game, and his mate Fanny Baker hates RL.
There again I hadn't seen Rick Astley at a game there before either.
I wonder if SJM is trying to attract a buyer...perhaps not.

I appreciate that the club is trying to improve the 'game day experience' but why would they spend good money on getting a bloke who is better at reading out the teams? Like, who actually cares?

Then again, why would they spend good money on Tom Lineham...

Chris Evans didn't watch rugby when we were kids, lol he could hardly get a game of football with us, we just stuck him in goal, but guess he turned out the winner in the end lol.

Another gripe while we're here. There's a guy who stands at the back on the 40m line in the South towards the West and he is probably the most annoying bloke in the world. Seems to shout out a random infringement at every play of the ball and amongst other things does a sort of scream when the opposition are about to kick the ball. Can someone who knows him please have a word?

Earlier this morning he was raving about the experience to his millions of listeners. Well worth the cost of feeding and watering him for an afternoon!

At least the phantom whistler doesn't seem to show up as often these days. I wonder if he choked on his own pea ?

Come to think of it ,the massed voices of the HJ choir were very quiet till the 75th minute, strange day with not a lot of atmosphere.

All the hallmarks of a game where " every minute didn't matter that much" until the ref's inadequacy finally wore a bit too thin and Cas thought they'd rattle us pre Wembley with a niggle here and there.

Fair play it seemed to spur us on at the finish.

The silver lining from the game was Cas looked like they were genuinely trying and we looked exactly like a team that had a final in 7 days. Contact wasn't anything spectacular in defence but we seemed to just be doing enough.

We'll take far more away from that game than Hull will from their last two games.

Hardly call it ranting and raving. he spent about 30 seconds on us, briefly mentioned we're at Wembley then spent the rest of it saying how the club made a nice roast. yeah... worth every penny. Cheers for that Chris. could've mentioned that is was an exciting game with Warrington winning in the final minute but hey ho... what do we expect from him? For a Warrington lad he never mentions the town.

What is annoying though is when Warrington town reached the first round of the FA cup he didn't shut up about it for about half an hour and all he did was watch it on telly. Compare that now to our club, Moran brings him into the HJ as a guest, feeds him and his family, but on a dramatic show, invites him and his family into the changing rooms to hear the team song and meet the lads and all we get is him talking about getting a roast dinner before the game. unbelievable really.
