My dislike of this player went through the roof tonight.

that attack on ratchford reminded me of the joel tomkins one on myler from years ago.

try was scored, player decided to dive in with the knees and deliberately injure an opponent.... i think such an offence should be straight red...

in the scheme of the game, the 8 point try was a result... but it made my blood boil and now i hate him more than ever.

He epitomises the seedy side of Wigan I am afraid.

I assume the incident will be reviewed, I didn't see the ref put it on report.

I don't know whether the worst thing about that was the incident itself, or Fatty Cummings giving it the thumbs-up in the commentary box. Even Clarke was speechless.

in all the years ive watched the wire i cant recall ever seeing a 8 point try (may be beer and whisky av seen to that )but well done mr hicks for asking for that to be reviewed something silverdud and bentone would never of done..and i agree with you that sort of cowardly incident should be a red card and 4 match ban

That incident, just epitomised the Wigan "dominance days" of 20+ years ago.

I was more disappointed that the little sh!$house didnt end up "picking his teeth up" at some point following this "cowardly attack"! (From a perfectly legal "Big-Hit" from one of our forwards you understand). Although he did a fantastic job hiding like the coward he is for the remainder of the game. (Pushing his team-mates out of the way at times to ensure he was at Dummy-Half to avoid having to drive the ball in), "Embarrassing really"!

wigan fans on their forum think ratchford 'milked it' .. you couldnt make it up

Farrell is all about spoiling.
He holds down, obstructs and generally cheats his way through a game.
Alright he does score the odd good try, but he personifies the shioitty side of the game, as does Joel Tomkins, note the elbow in the face of Currie on fifty mins at the end of the tackle.
Should be penalised.

It's a game for men not little girls it's child's play compared what has happened in the past.

It wasn't a sending off, I wouldn't have given a yellow either. That said it was a crap house act, unneeded. Any suggestion that there was any play acting should take a knee to the side - Farrell knew he would get no change from that, he knew he was solely going in to injure an opponent. If he didn't know that, he's an idiot.

I am assuming you a referring to the days gone buy when hard men knocked the crap out of each other in the field of play. Not the act of cowardice you witnessed last night after the try had been scored. Canny how similar it was to the act of cowardice he showed in the Grand Final last year.

He is a strange player, I don't really notice a huge amount of aggression in defence from him, but then he does seem to do the odd cheap shot like that. I think an 8 point try was probably sufficient punishment, but can see an argument for a sin binning.

I don't think Ratchford was feigning an injury, you certainly feel it if someone dives knees first into you.

Happens in all games, and with alarming regularity sadly... I can't stand late cheap shots on a try scorer... keep looking, you will see that that is not an isolated incident, and not just us that does it.

I see from other posts that you have a very strange view of the game...as for "milking" you are of course joking. Ratchford reacted straight away to the incident. Milking is what Charnley does every time he is tackled, I hope this assists.

The difference here is if Farrell had been any later he would've got a detention.

We'll see it more if Sam ever gets out of that seat at the dw, and gets back on the field, he was prevot murder for it.

That said, the rumour is there's nothing there below that beard, he's more head than man now.

He also can't seem to complete a tackle without finishing with his arm in a headlock on the tackled player.
