Just over 7000 people saw Westwood smash Gale in the head well after he passed the ball.

It was that late the camera might even have missed it which would mean he gets off without punishment.

Sounds like a clear 2 game ban. You won't need him against Hull KR. They might trouble you at their place but nowhere else.

Russell would be more of a concern, he's looked excellent in the games Ive seen since his return.

Warrington outplayed Cas yesterday and if Westwood was sent off you would still have won comfortably. Every team on the day could rack up a score on anyone, yesterday was our turn for a good hiding. In saying that good hidings I can take good hidings that put people in hospital I can't

Basically he is on twitter apologising for milking the tackle.

I was sat in the main stand so couldn't see where the contact was made.
However, it was very late and even a late tackle not to the head can cause serious injury as the player who has passed the ball has relaxed and has his back to the defender.
I think we'd all agree that we can't go back to the days when forwards would 'hunt' the opposition halves and try to put them out of the game early with late off-the-ball tackles, be they to the head or not. Whether this was Westwood's intention, only he knows.
I think he'll be looking at a ban if the video shows clear contact with the head, or if the tackled is deemed as a deliberately late challenge and is seen as a shoulder charge.

lets be honest.. now and again Westwood's brain switches off and he goes all captain caveman... This usually leads to him doing something stupid.

i didn't see what happened, but its sounding like a late hit, which resulted in an injury.. so he will probably get a few games.

That is assuming he has one.

Would have him in my team any day of the week though.
