Anyone on here heard anything about this? Does seem to have plenty of legs as he's out of contract at the end of the year and there is no talk about a new deal with us. I'd be gutted if this were true, our best young player since James Graham.

I would be very happy with this... Maybe the lad fancy's playing for his hometown club.

Strange that at his age, Saints have let his contract run down like this.... Maybe saints dont want to offer him that much salary wise... Who knows?

Bizarre isn't it. Only thing I can think of is a falling out with the coaches as he seems well liked by the players. He was out for a long time with an illness, so perhaps that explains the lack of a new deal over the last year or so, but a big blow to us if he does go.

If true I'd be more than happy he's robust and mobile in fact pretty quick, fingers crossed.

If his contract ends this year (which it does) then he can discuss a contract for next year with another club. Not exactly sure from which date he could start to do this, think it might have been May. It's a fair rule when you consider that a player coming to end of contract needs some time to set himself up with another club.

He was very impressive against Wire U19's last year and seems to have done very well for Saints when I have seen him play, so it's a bit of a surprise if it's true.

Cracking signing if it happens, could be a case of using a rival to bump up a contract offer from your club though.

One of the lads best mates Joe Grimes is telling everyone he has indeed signed for Wire. Big contract involved. Saints not prepared to match it.

Andre was never avtually a Wire fan although he was t service area the lad actually supports Wigan. So that's got nothing to do with the deal, just the smell of money.

No way in the world will he ever get a contract in the NFL. He isn't big or fast enough and has no experience of playing the game.

Never understood this 'off to the nrl' malarkey. Saints fans on their board saying we're wasting our money as he wants to go to Australia. So what? So had they known at the start of graham's career that he'd end up in oz they'd have said 'no thanks go and be excellent elsewhere for two/three seasons James we don't want your type here wanting to better yourself'. Added to that that circumstances can change it's a really stupid argument. Very good signing if turns out to be true...things are looking up.

If you let a good young player run his contract down to the last minute, you have to expect the people with the money to come calling.

Same happened to Clark.

Hopefully in three years time Super League will be a league people want to stay in like it always used to be instead of having lads continually leave us for Aus.
