Back in September 2011 all the pundits & Bookies were saying we were nailed on to win the G/F & Leeds didn't stand a chance. Last season Saints had no Half Backs & in August at LP we made them look a bunch of Amateurs, in the final they faced Wigan who everyone said would beat them by at least 20 points.

I don't think Wire will win the G/F but nor do I know who will. However I do think we will make a Final this year.

I'll wait until after today before I commit to making a definite prediction, but should we beat Saints well, then we will have a great chance at the final in both the cc and gf.
The draw and club call in both comps may have to be favourable, although I think we are a quality prop short of having confidence in a title win but see what happens after today.

Defeat against Saints while they are without a 1st choice hb paring, and in contrast we have all ours available plus being coached by two former hbs and we can forget it, period.

The best bet is to ignore anything that spews from that cretins mouth.

Clarke was only been honest in his assessment of Warrington.

Totally agree. The 2nd half performance wasn't good enough. Our kicking game is atrocious, I lost count on how many times the ball hit the floor.

We are just an average team.

Not average in the fact we're just flush with average players and always play average rugby. We have some high quality players and at times we play outstanding rugby, but in the next breath we have some poor quality players and at times we play appalling rugby. We're one extreme to the other one week to the next, one five minute spell to the next. So overall it all just averages out as just mediocre as a whole product.

I can't see us making the top four never mind the GF. I think we'll finish 6th/7th. I suppose that's no disgrace and not a poor season just where an average side should finish. Mid-table.

Not rubbish, not crap but not great or anything special...just average, ordinary, mediocre as a whole whatever you want to call it.

we're pretty rubbish this year... it was clear for all to see just a couple of games in.

Lets hope we can make a good fight for the Challenge cup this season, as no one can really expect this side to do anything in regards the grand final.

Just a pity there is no award for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. We looked good at times in attack but were short on ideas & let Saints back in.

On current form who on earth could disagree with him? Worth pointing out that he has heaped more than his fair share of praise on us over the last few years.

Surely we can only say "we have no chance of making the GF" when we finish outside the 4 or get knocked out in the playoffs. To say we have "no chance" now is inaccurate. I happen to believe our chances are low, but not zero.

Bookies' best prices are 6/1 to win the GF and 5/2 to get there (which are both a bit skinny in my view) but it's certainly better than "no chance"

I should imagine this prediction was levelled at saints quite a lot last season. I don't think we will get close but maybe just maybe the year we win it is when we've no bloody chance...unfortunately the difference is saints win GFs when poor and we can't win them when the best team by a country mile. If we can scrape our way to a lucky title, everything might change.

Stay clear of injuries. Build a bit of form in the last six games and you'll be there or thereabouts.
