a few years back now, Town were a game off the first round proper.
There must have been at least a 1000 of us watching them play Hyde Utd. got beat 3-2 I think. They were also division or 2 above us.

They're 90 minutes away from the 1st round proper now. They have a home tie against North Ferriby United on the 25th October, win that and it's the 1st round!

Would be great to see them make the FA Cup 'proper' - Just a thought, if they were to draw a decent sized League side at home (e.g a Sheff Utd or a Preston), might it be worth moving the tie to the HJ??

Absolutely superb run by Warrington Town. Already dumped out the first ever football team formed and last week took down a team two divisions above them. North Ferriby won't be any pushovers, but they are in the same league as Colwyn Bay and looked what happened to them.

If Town do make it to the first round proper, and get a home tie against a League One team, then it's possible it could be moved from Cantilever to the HJ as Dita says.

Well done Warrington Town!!..... Just hope they get a high profile home tie now - With a town of our size, a home tie against a League 1 or even League 2 side would surely guarantee enough interest to attract a crowd that would be worth moving the tie to the Halliwell Jones, and, with it, a pretty decent payday for the club?

I would say that Sheffield United are the biggest team in Monday's draw and would fetch a fair amount of fans if Town draw them at home... Also Coventry, a relatively recent winner of the FA Cup, would also be quite a nice draw.

Saying that, any league side at home would be a decent draw and someone like a Tranmere would give Town a reasonable chance of a proper Cup upset.

I'll hopefully be jumping on the bandwagon for the next round. Fingers crossed for a decent tie.
