Picked up my League Weekly from the Newsagent this morning to find that I had the bonus of two match reports on the Huddersfield v Leeds game, and nothing on our game. I'm told that there are slightly different versions of the paper on each side of the Pennines. Did people at home have the same problem as me?

Well, the Huddersfield vs Leeds game was probably the best game I've seen in the past five years, so fully deserving of two reports.

I was reading Garry Schofield's colum and he states that Wire don't have the capability of winning at Old Trafford.

Saying that we need to replace lee briers before we pick up silverware. So does this mean that Wigan won't win anything this season because Saint Sam & Irish Pat are not there?

Just do what Cat says, you'll understand soon enough. I get both LE and LW each Monday because I'm in a bit of a Rugby League desert in this area, although there are quite a few fans.

Always thought Leaue Weekly was a badly written rag however I would buy it on occasion as I work in Liverpool and I can only find LW in Lime Street. I certainly won't be giving that abhorrent man my money again!

Warrington and Wigan are different teams.

Warrington have never won the Grand Final.

Wigan won the double last year.

Schofield is only saying what most rugby league fans think and you might not like his opinions but he's earned the right to spout them through being a great of the game.

Given the scarcity of RL coverage in the press, I do tend to buy one or the other of these - they reek of Yorkshire bias but to be fair have always complimented Wires on their style of play during the TS era.

As for Schofield, I'm afraid he's right. He always said we'd miss Briers and he obviously knew more than some because we are only just realising how much we are missing him. We had glorious chances to win the GF the last two years and now it's case of rebuilding so we can come again, which I have no doubt we will and very soon.
