I'm going, along with 4 others, west stand. I heard it was a sell out. if that's the case i'm very impressed. Expected 5 or 6 thousand

Unfortunately I can't make it as I will be in France, but good crowds for this WC are so important. Everything looks to be building up quite nicely with some decent sales for quite a few of the games.

According to the tickets web site all seating has now sold out so that should be 5 to 6 k at least. With late ticket sales no reason there wont be 8 - 10k attendance.

I am probably going to pay on the gate. Looks set to be the best World Cup our sport has seen!

Will people be able to buy standing tickets on the day, I have a few friends here in Blackpool who have never watched a live match and are talking about going due to my enthusiasm

If the game doesn't sell out before now and next Saturday, I would think any remaining tickets will be sold by the club on Sunday. I would keep a check on the world cup tickets web site during the week or give the club a call to see what the arrangements are. I read on the world cup news page yesterday that seating tickets had sold out so looks promising for a good turn out, especially with adult standing tickets available from £10 and kids £5 in the West stand.

Samoa aren't as strong as they could have been obviously with Roy and Steve Matai out , they have also not picked a large number of their top players that are available.
They will play hard though , you'd expect , they are under a lot of pressure to perform.

I was at the only Test between NZ and Samoa , It formed a double header with England and the New Zealand Maori.
Typically the first 20 minutes the Samoan's were all over the Kiwis , some no names made careers for themselves that night.
The way they started I thought Crikey we are going to Lose here.

Got 2 tickets for NE corner for next Sunday & 2 for North Stand for the QF & that was £72 50p , which worked out cheaper than standing , which was all at £20 because all the West tickets had sold out which apparently meant the price offer no longer existed.

The final also states sold out downstairs but if you click on areas in North Stand you can get tix on half way line and with code it's £15 per person.

im going and was hoping for a close ish game but samoa looked very average today v knights but i guess it was only a warm up.

Their problem is inexperience and what that will mean defensively under pressure. Certainly having all those build up games will prep them somewhat for the Clash most are predicting will eventuate between them and NZ.
They also have un heralded halves , otherwise Tonga's Forward pack and three Quarter line on attack goes very close to shaving the big threes offerings / very little between them.

Hooker ( Havili ) is their least experienced player ( NZ Warriors U20's hooker ) he is a big explosive runner for a hooker with good hands and is an outside possible to make the NRL side 2014

The strongest player in that team pound for pound is young NZWarrior Konrad Hurell , inside the 20meter Zone it's rare to see him stopped by anyone when he hits the ball at pace , that Power lifting rep background of his makes hm a freak.

His possible Partner is Mahe Fonua who is reared in the Storm system and scored the Try of the year , another dynamo.

At Full back they have Glen Fisiahi the Warriors Wing and now pushed down to 3rd choice fb with the arrival of Tomkins.

Fisaiahi , nickname ' the flying fish ' will go close to being the fastest man at the tournament.

Tonga are loaded with star attacking Weapons in their own right in the NRL system so it will be very interesting to see how good they knit together before take it out on NZ.

Bought a couple of tickets in the West Stand a few weeks ago so we will be making a rare trip down to the other end. (It's been a long time since I last stood up at a game, just hope it's not a damp or wet day as my knees will be screaming at me all night). Got tickets for the 1/4 final too, may go to a few other games depending on finances and the Mrs.

This is the first non-Warrington game my wife has expressed an interest in attending, so I shot to the website and booked a couple of tickets immediately.

My daughter (usual season ticket partner) is involved in the pre-match welcome and entertainment so looking forward to seeing that.
