went in the shop, they said not great; massive box of tickets on the chair behind; thousands of unsold tickets in there. Looks like we are not going to get anywhere near selling our initial allocation.

It's surprising. We're usually pretty good at these "events". Surely not everyone is put off by the fact that we are playing Hull and at 6pm on a Sunday?

Hudds is only 30 mins away. No excuses really.

I suppose different factors for different people.

1.It's not local
2.CC doesn't interest people unless it's the final
3.It's on TV
4.Late kickoff
5.Fear of Hull fans kicking off again
6.People at work
7.Lack of money

I will be there but I must admit Number 5 has crossed my mind.

'Fear of hull fans kicking off AGAIN' You would have to go back years to find any trouble from FC fans at Wire, in fact I don't think I've read of any trouble at a single FC away game this season. Warrington fans are hardly angels but there isn't a single FC fan who would even contemplate the idea of 'trouble' putting them off going to a CC semi-final. I think its pathetic how this game has been branded as troublesome just because its a 6pm ko, of course you will have a few drunken idiots at the ground irrespective of kick off time but to suggest that it will 'kick off' between ANY sets of supporters in SL is just ridiculous, its RL not football. Get a grip.

1. Huddersfield is not far away at all.
2. I love the CC, and we've done okay in previous semi's with attendances. But the fact we've had a fair few in recent years, some might be taking it for granted (I'm not, I didn't see us win a trophy in all of my life until 2009).
3. Don't see how that's an issue, if it is it's a real shame that people would rather watch a semi final on tele.
4. 18:00 is early evening, at this time of year it could be considered late afternoon. and it's the school holidays so it doesn't even matter what time people get home, which since it's only 18:00 will only be 22:00 at the latest.
5. Who are they,Serbian hooligans?
6. There will be a few, but not many people work Sunday afternoon/evening compared to any other time in the week.
7. Could be the case. I don't know many people who have much money at the moment.

A fair few might be on holiday around this time too, school holidays have just started and they might have booked hols now to be back for the final (IF we get there).

But it's all the same for Hull fans too.

I think back to us having 75%+ of semi-final attendances against Catalan and Huddersfield (probably 11000 and 7000 travelling support of ours respectively). We also had about a 55-45 split in our favour against Wigan in 2009. We also took 4000 to Barcelona a few years back, plus we take about 4000 to Wigan every year too.

We should be selling our allocation out.

It very rarely kicks off at football grounds these days. I go home and away with City and seen about four incidents in the last five years. Two serious ones were when Celtic came to Manchester for a pre-season friendly and when Birmingham came to Manchester a few years before that.

There was worse at the Super League Grand Final last Autumn than I've seen at any football ground in the last three years. Some were Leeds on Leeds violence (bizarre). But really nothing to worry anyone or stop people from going.

Sports are very safe to attend these days. Unless you're an idiot who goes looking for it (which usually happens well away from grounds at football) you're perfectly safe.

I think it probably the case that the semi final novelty factor/excitement has worn off for many and for those who seldom travel to away games (for whatever reason) Huddersfield probably sounds a lot more of a trek than it is. Widnes and Salford were close enough to entice those who don't usually travel or attend on a regular basis.

Perhaps that's because your fans aren't a bunch of crying schoolgirls. If you think ours aren't either you obviously don't read this forum often enough.

Anyway, on topic I haven't bought tickets and nor will I be, but two of us will be paying on the gate in our end. Ticket sales aren't always a barometer for games like this when people know they won't really need them.

Yes pal its on the warrington website also states anybody who as already booked coaches before the offer are entitled to a refund of the difference

Yes just checked club website + £5 it is.Can't argue with that.

Arsenal Al is offering money back as well all fares £5. all money deposits of £15 will be given back on match day.

I live in Manchester and love Celtic, but I find it hard to believe that anyone on here attended that game. Did our Challenge Cup semi final V Wigan taking place at the same time not appeal to you?

Would not even consider missing this game! However I am in no rush to get tickets as it will never sell out. Expecting Hull to outnumber us quite heavily which is a shame. Like people have said maybe our 4th semi final in 5 years has made it less special to some but it shouldn't be taken for granted.

It will not last forever this run we are in make the most of it after all the years of pain.

8. On holiday.

Most people don't take their kids out of school, so the options are either go at the beginning as miss the semi, or run the risk of missing the final. I've only been to one semi, which was last year, when number 7 (Lack of money) meant we couldn't go on holiday. Missing this one too, but already sorted a bar to watch it in, which has Wire flags on the walls. Going to pop down to the shop tomorrow to see if I can pick up another to add to their collection.

Exactly. This year Im buying a ticket by myself. Im tagging along with a mate from work and his group as none of the people I usually go with are bothering due to money issues/work . Atleast the poor sales means there should hopefully be an empty seat for me to have near my mate!

Think money is a big factor

CC Semi then final less than a month later
Play off start a couple of weeks after with the GF just over a month after CC final.

For many taking family is a costly sum so, people will start to pick and choose.

I'm thinkink about missing this one. I've been doing alot of thinking and I suddenly thought 'What if someone says a bad word in front of women and children?' I can't bear the thought of that happening and I'd rather not be a part of it.
