| A very good win today, I was worried prior to kick off because the Bulls are a good team who would have gone above us if they had won today.
I felt our defence was close to where we want it to be & our attack good. We did drop the ball a bit early in the 2nd half & struggled to complete a set or get our of our own half, this was largely due to the poor conditions & heavy rain. Ben Currie got MOM & he was very good but I thought he was bettered by Ratch & Myler who were both excellent.
Trent & Super Ben did 80 & 77 minutes respectively

Waterhouse and Higham were best for me followed by Myler and both wingers, who finished superbly and were really secure in difficult conditions.

| I also thought Myler was good today. Some creative runs and important interceptions. His kicking was exceptional today. Trent was very busy in defence & attack. Mickey H was industrious as he has been all season. Benny Westwood is not upto his past performances likewise for Atkins for me. Still, I wouldn't swap either of them.
This was a good performance today against a decent"ish" side.

| Terrible, dour game. You just had the extra bit of quality and class.
Westwood was lucky he didn't get sent off. His high shot under his own sticks in the first half was very deliberate.

Are my eyes playing games with me here? Saddened posting without a mention of "Wellens being past it"? Bet he thought Wilkin was playing for Warrington when Ratch put that kick in that came back down on his head.

| I thought it was an entertaining game although the conditions did lend themselves to a bit of dropsy at times.
Thought Mickey Higham was outstanding, looked very lively as he has done all season to be fair. Ratch and Myler and Trent were excellent. What we pleased me the most was our defence and enthusiasm which has not been evident in a number of games this year. To keep the Bulls to 4 was a great effort
If Hodgey had put his boots on the right feet we would have hit 40
Good to see a couple more youngsters blooded, both acquitted themselves well as did Evans for the Bulls. Looks like we are finally waking from our winter hibernation.

Prior to the game I thought it would be a close tough game. It turned out to be a comfortable tough game. Bradford are no world beaters but they are a big strong physical side. With regards to the game being Awful could you expand on that? I thought there were some flashes of brilliance from Myler. Some good runs from Mickey Higham and Ben Currie & Trent Waterhouse played well in attack & defence. Joel took his try well in the corner and to only concede 4 points when we gifted a bit too much possession away was satisfying. As for Awful? I'm not sure.

| Come on people back on track please. The game was crap crying out for a player with the skill of Barry Peters from the good old days in front of the inferno of atmosphere that was Wilderspool Stadium packed to the rafters with 4,200 every week.

| I enjoyed today's game, perhaps I am easily pleased I don't know. But I paid £19 and watched a good game of RL where both sets of players gave 100% and tried to the end. I have seen better games and I have seen worse, but as I have said I enjoyed the game and glad I went.
As for the Sad Ones comments about it being a dour game, don't listen to him he is just peeved because his arch enemy Paul Wellens is playing well and pi**ing the Sad One off.

| Given we were still a few key players down, good performance and good win.
Currie excellent, Higham very lively and incisive, Waterhouse also impressive and his pass out of the tackle for Atkins try was a peach, but I thought Ratchford looked the classiest player on view by some distance.

An awful lot of people seem to have forgotten the state we were in in 2002 (or maybe they weren't around then). Sounds like a good win to me with only 4 points conceded. How did the young lads go?

| To me it was a solid game from both side. Wire loosing track a little in the second half. The lads turned up, put a shift in and came away with the 2 points. No complaints from me. I cant see why anyone would complain

Currie is now looking like a seasoned SL player, whilst Riley and bridge were solid without doing anything exceptional. Bradford are a strong side and to keep them to 4 was a great effort, especially considering the number of times they got repeat sets on our line.
Ratch and Myler did a good job whilst higham was very good. Monas still looking patchy. And I'm still waiting fir Westwood to explode into life.

| I thought Ben Evans did alright for Bradford considering it was his SL debut today and returning from a long injury lay-off.

There is a good report on our game in the Guardian, the author sums up what most of us have been saying not just about yesterday's game but the way all is geared for the play offs. It's a good read . www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2013/ap ... tch-report

Danny Bridge looked a bit nervous, which is only to be expected. And he lost yards in a couple of his runs with the ball. He still has a fair amount to learn in changing the angle of attack, and body positioning when taking the ball up. But he certainly didn't look out of place. Riley looked more assured, but didn't make too much yardage. I would like to see him hitting the line with a bit more speed as with his weight, he should be able to do some damage. Both of them defended and tackled well. Ben Evans looked lively when he came on, but seemed to tire quickly, which considering he has not played all season is hardly surprising. I remember Ben Currie having his debut - his orders seemed to be 'tackle everything in sight and don't try and do any fancy moves'. He has developed well this season and is much more of a handful in the tackle now. So I suppose we shouldn't expect too much of these lads straight away. They need to get used to the speed of SL and gain a bit of confidence.

| I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Chris Hill (or if they have I've clearly not read the thread fully), I thought he had a great game. When it started raining in the second half and we couldn't hold the ball I don't think he dropped it once when he had it. I agree with others that Higham looked excellent again and the amount of tackling that Waterhouse does is unreal.

On another note, i'm happy we didn't splash the reported 250k on John Bateman, he never stands out when i see Bradford and yesterday he was completely outshone by Ben Currie.
