| After your light training session yesterday and our bruising encounter tonight who will be up for next weeks game.
Will your players who hardly got out of second gear be able to match the battle hardened Giants team.
God knows but i am looking forward to a good game which TBF could go either way.

| Should be a great game, Wires simply have to stand-up to that huge Bradford, sorry Huddersfield pack.
We need Trent back
I'd love to see Ben H back
If someone could trample on Danny Broughs kicking foot in the week that would help as well.

| This will answer a few questions
Will Huddersfield keep their good start to the season going, or will a defeat on Friday send them into free-fall, just as one defeat has sent them into the abyss in the last couple of years.
Will we have shaken off our HKR/Stains hangovers? Lets face it, Salford on Friday was little more than a light training session.
What kind of support will Hudds bring over, on Friday?
When the HJ first opened, they used to travel over in reasonable numbers.
However, in the last 4 or 5 years, they could have all come over in a 16 seater mini bus, and Terry Scott's tandem from Carry On Camping.
I think we'll win.
There's more to RL than a big bruising pack.

His little bean-head gives me nightmares. He reminds of that alien out of Men-In-Black.

i like to think we are a different team mentally than we were last year,it wasn't one defeat that did us it was a culmination of things, time will tell though.
i imagine you will have got back up to speed by friday,im sure the salford game will have come at the right time for you to shake the cobwebs off, time will tell.
our support will be poor as usual i imagine,300-400 will make the trip.we used to travel well because the train fare was cheap, however, like match tickets, train tickets are a fair cost now so thats put a lot of people off, plus we had quite a few sunday games which usually boost our numbers.friday nights are a no-no for a lot of our fans.
im sure it will be a good game i think we have the better pack but i think you edge it in the backs, time will tell though

The bubble burster sticking to failing game plans / flogging players after a loss / operating a strong blame culture for those outside the clique (like Lunt in 2012) and never dropping his favourites is now at Saints. So while the Giants may still fail to win anything in 2013 they will be far more competitive for much longer - injuries permitting. agree it should be a good game.

| Looking forward to this one as i always do at your place......think we're already seeing a difference this year to the last 2 in that the players are more together under Baloo, no one is spared the axe if they're not performing, no favourites either .
We've already dug out a couple of wins that would have resulted in crushing defeats last year due to the players determination.
You lot are our last big test and having already despatched Saints, Wigan and Leeds with ease i think if we do your lot on Friday then we can seriously start thinking that just maybe we have a team that can do something.

Whilst you've beaten that lot it's never the same come the playoffs. As we found out in 2011. Your concern needs to be should you get injuries. Looking forward to it though.

| I know this thats why i have refrained from shouting off about our current position upto now, the point i was making was that by beating the big 4 clubs should hopefully send a message out we are a team to be challenging - as long as we are still challenging come the end of August/beginning of September i will be delighted.....still early doors yet though.

Quarter of the season gone now, looking good to be top and gives you a boost, always room for good competitive sides to keep the rounds interesting and start to put to bed the "it doesn't matter until the play-offs as there is nothing to play for" chant that some people enjoy rolling out.

Ironic really cos the excuse for losing to us now seems to be 'but we werent trying cos it only matters in the play-offs' !
Hope you lot are more graceful in defeat on Friday
set myself up now haven't i

| will be a tough game, i am worried that if brough brings his kicking game with him then that could be the difference to the two sides, the opening 20 minutes should provide all the pointers as to how the game will go.i expect us to be kicking early quite often to turn round that big pack of theirs, might not be a classic but scoring plenty of tries last week, regardless of the opposition should have our backs confidence up again.

| Huddersfield should be admired for what they have acheived on the field in recent years, even if ultimately they've come up short in terms of silverware. However - there must be alarm bells ringing off the field. Only 5,500 turned up on Saturday to see the top of the table team play another strong club, Hull. If Huddersfield - the birthplace of RL, in the heart of West Yorkshire right next to the M62 is not RL heartlands, what is? So why can they only muster such small crowds to a quality stadium to watch a team at the top of the table? Is the club not working hard enough in the community?
To be fair to Huddersfield, crowds seem down at all clubs this year. RL is facing a big problem.

Actually the new stadium was the major factor in building up the crowd. Then the recent success boosted it again.

We never get a good crowd when we are on TV, and the travelling Hull support was the smallest I have ever seen at our place.
People probably think if they have paid SKY subs they might as well watch it at home for a lot less. And season ticket sales were down as people had to fork out double what they paid the season before. Had it been on Sunday I think we would have had 7-8000.

It used to be, until we started bobbing along at the foot of the table for years.

We were averaging 10k + along time before any success.
We got all these Giants fans on here again, talking smack, just like last year. I've no doubt you will be trophyless and floundering in around 5th position come September.
